With outdoor space, open living, and straightforward access to shops, cafés, and transport, it’s a practical base for families or small groups.
The Space:
Getaway Waiheke is laid out for easy, everyday living, with an open-plan kitchen, dining, and lounge area that keeps the group connected throughout the day. The space is light and welcoming, working well for shared meals, quiet mornings, and relaxed evenings after the beach.
Large doors open from the living area onto a covered deck and lawn, extending the living space outdoors. This area suits casual breakfasts, long lunches, or simple dinners outside, with enough space for children to play and adults to unwind. Greenery around the property provides privacy while keeping the setting quiet and residential.
The home accommodates up to six guests across three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Two bedrooms are fitted with queen beds, while the third bedroom includes twin single beds, making it suitable for children or friends sharing. The layout is balanced and functional, offering enough separation for privacy without feeling spread out.

Oneroa Village provides supermarkets, bakeries, boutiques, galleries, and a range of dining options. Well-known local spots include Too Fat Buns for casual meals and The Oyster Inn for lunch or dinner overlooking the bay.
The location also works well for exploring the rest of the island, with beaches, vineyards, and walking tracks all within a short drive or bus ride.
Getting Around:
Off-street parking is available at the property for guests travelling with a car. For those without a vehicle, the nearest bus stop on Matai Road is around a one-minute walk from the house.
Public buses run regularly between Oneroa, the main beaches, and the ferry terminal at Matiatia. Services also continue toward Onetangi, stopping near major vineyards along the way, making it easy to explore wineries without driving.
Taxis and rideshare services operate on the island but can be limited during peak periods and are often more expensive than public transport.

Like many Waiheke homes, Getaway Waiheke runs on rainwater, so we ask guests to use it thoughtfully during their stay.
