Wonderful setting with great views over the bay

The property was accurately represented by the photos. Location and views are stunning. Great walks within 1 minute, and central Oneroa within a 10 min walk. House was perfect for a holiday, and details like quality bed linen would match a quality hotel. We loved out stay.

Slice of heaven

Fabulous location, had wonderful stay with elderly parents who were heading back to UK. Wish we were there for longer, close to all the amenities & bird life & scenery was incredible.

This property is in serious need of repairs and maintenance A little disappointing when you spend this much money on a stay from the lack of hot water to loose and broken tiles. This property needs money spent on it.

Had a beautiful stay, the view is breathtaking, even from the ensuite shower. Clean , tidy and comfortable. Great, efficient contact with manager and owner when required. Definitely stay again.

This was our favorite place on our 6 week Australia/New Zealand trip. Beautiful home, close to places to eat and a good base for touring the island. We wished we had a few more days to enjoy the hospitality of Ewen. He was kind enough to let us check in early as we were coming from a cruise. Would definately stay here again and can recommend to all that want a beautiful place to stay.

Superb location, amazing property

We all absolutely loved our stay at this cottage. So close to the beach, incredible views, drenched in all day sun, I can’t fault this property. And the owner’s family went above and beyond to locate and return a very sentimental piece of jewellery that I accidentally left behind. I will definitely be coming back.

The location was absolutely wonderful.

The location was absolutely wonderful. The views were awesome and so was the sun, beach access, the spa pool, separate bathrooms, etc - the house is intelligently set out. It worked really well for us and meant we preferred to stay 'home' for dinner rather than going out - the views were magnetic. 3 out of 4 of us did have issues with mosquitoes but the strange part about their bites was that they weren't itchy! We'd highly recommend Bliss Cottage.

Peaceful getaway with spectacular views.

The house was in a very convenient, quiet and picturesque location with an easy walk to a lovely, sheltered beach and close to cafes and shops. There were a couple of maintenance issues that needed addressing and the cleaner could have done a better job. All that said, we would definitely consider renting it again for future family holidays.

Nice view

We enjoyed the beautiful view. Unfortunately the wifi was not working our entire 5 night stay. We communicated the issue within the first hour upon arrival and although the owner was apologetic the problem was never fixed. This was a working vacation for some in the group so it was extremely frustrating. Everything else was fine.

The views were spectacular the position was perfect however the house was not up to standard nor worth the money No screens on the windows & lots of insects / glass roof to dining room made the room so hot it was unusable Crockery was miss matched cracked & chipped / leather sofas in living room cracked & worn / upholstery to dining chairs dirty & torn / No matching glassware / Oven door did no shut properly therefore took an age to head / dishwasher seal faulty & did not dry properly

Disappointed!!

Little beetles through towels (that were on the bed!) and in the carpet of back bedroom - sprayed and vacuumed twice!! Large window/frame swinging in wind by spa pool - we found a screw and temporarily screwed it at one end. Main bedroom shower mouldy! Plus shower head is not stable and if pressure too high it shoots straight up ! Loose down pipes banging in wind all night. Window by table could just be slid open - not secure. We tried to make it more secure. Some of kitchen tiles are loose. Washing machine is mouldy on inside of door on rubber seal. Condition overall was shoddy.

So unhappy as the downstairs was flooded and house upstairs so smelly from damp.

So disappointed that I have contacted the owner re the flood and the terrible conditions we had to rent. The agents said the owner knew water was coming in through the floor for a while but had done nothing about it. Clearly carpets had been put on top of carpets but were wet too and a plant pot put on top of the soaked top part to hide it. I never leave bad reviews but am because there has been no communication and I am left utterly frustrated because the owner is not responding. If not sorted will take to consumer complaints as I have all photographs and have asked Citizens advice for next step. Communication is all that is needed as our hoiday was ruined. We asked for 30% refund as we thought fairer than leaving and requesting full refund but still no response. I have never felt so disappointed. Very sad.......

Magical Spot for a weekend away
