“Beautiful hotel with no expense spared on recent fit out with great furnishings. Very comfortable hotel with fantastic staff who's attention to detail is fantastic. I mentioned at lunch that I was Coeliac and laster when we checked in to our room gluten free biscuits were placed on the tea tray. A small detail but I have never experianced this before in an hotel. The food in the restaurant is also first class. Unfortunately we were unable to return on Sunday for lunch as it was fully booked!”

“Good amenities - kettle, tea bags, milk. Clean and spacious room for a family. We were allocated to the lower floor facing the car park.”

“The room was perfect, lovely bathroom as well, however the hotel experienced a power outage overnight & therefore there was no hot water, lighting, no hot food for breakfast - and for whatever reason the toilets wouldn’t flush, which nobody seemed to realise. We had to pack the relative darkness looking for our belongings from the lights from our phones, and finding a way down the corridors in a huge sprawling hotel in the dark was quite tricky. I realise this is not exactly the hotels fault but……

“It’s an old property with lots of character uneven floors and lots of steps it’s lovely and clean although rooms are a bit dated and some quite small has some outside rooms with private entrances We had a shower over a bath which may be difficult for some one elderly to use so I’d specify if you have any specific needs The food was good basic pub grub and breakfast was excellent Parking is easy and free for residents just make sure you register your number plate when you arrive The hotel is……

“The room was very nice but the restaurant service was disappointing. Slow service and they charged me extra which we didn't ask for. Ordered a steak burger which supposed to be 18 pounds but when we received our bill, there was surcharge of extra cheese and bacon which we didnt ask at the time of ordering food. The staff just added the extra and expected us to pay. We mede the the payment as we didn't want to mess up the experience. There is also 10 percent service charge which was already added……
