Great Maisonette and Village for Touraine / Loire Family Trip

The maisonette was immaculate and just recently renovated. Perfect for a family with two children. Our son loved his top loft. The amenities inside and attention to detail were great. It was completely modern with French rustic charm. Great location just off the town square, a leisurely stroll from numerous restaurants, the chateau, all the usual French village amenities. There is no assigned parking nor outside space, but the price reflects that. Thomas, the host, gave us advice on parking, which after that we never found to be a problem. The town square is across the street with a children play area. Azay is a great central location for exploring the Loire area and Touraine. We enjoyed both the nearby restaurants and had a few pleasant meals in the maisonette with provisions from the fromagerie, patisserie, local shop and wine merchant. All were steps away. Thomas' English is limited, but my husband speaks French and Thomas was an extremely welcoming and helpful host. This stay was the highlight of our short trip to France during half term. It is a five to six hour drive from Calais.

Le gîte est idéalement situé (proche commerces et restaurants, chateaux à pieds ou en voiture, activités extérieures (canoë, piscine communale, ...)). Le petit parc devant le gîte est très agréable pour passer un moment avec les enfants ou bouquiner.Le gîte est très bien aménagé avec tout ce qu'il faut, mélant moderne et pierres.L'acceuil et les conseils du proprio sont parfaits.Nous recommandons
