「Our second Christmas at this cabin! We brought our tree, lights, presents, and enough food to last us several days. Because there was no snow and we found slushy ice on Gegoka, we drove to nearby hiking trails—all lovely. The kitchen is well-provisioned with spices, herbs, pots and pans and the bookshelves are loaded with terrific wildlife resource books. This cabin has one of the best wood stoves we’ve experienced. Despite gloomy, rainy days, we had a good stay!」

「I came with my best friend to celebrate her 60th b-day. The cabin was spectacular & had everything we needed,(the loft was huge w/ BA, hosts were top notch-communicating quickly & guiding us to attractions/restaurants that we desired. Each AM we enjoyed coffee on the patio soaking in ONLY the sounds of nature & going over our plans (or no plans) for the day. What a luxury! We loved the sites, shops, & restaurant's of Ely (Grand Ely Lodge for b-day dinner, Boat House Restaurant for tasty burgers...

We were able to all get to spend some much needed time together to catch up, all while having plenty of room for gear and being less than 10 minutes from the hill. The home was clean and Kris was so accommodating!」

「Water wasn't Hot, just a little more than warm. Refrigerator - freezer side door holders still fly off and everything hits the floor. Brought it up last year, nothing was fixed. Washer and dryer look identical, would be nice if they were labeled. And the tree on the right side of the driveway should be cut and removed. It cost me $2,000 for a new mirror. TV's should at least have local channels.」

「Had a wonderful annual holiday with friends. If we weren’t hoping to add another couple next year we would book same again but we need a second shower with more people. The house is spacious and homey and kitchen had everything we needed to cook fish all week. Docks are well maintained and porch and fire pit area were well- enjoyed. We even took the kayak and paddle board for a spin. It was really hard to leave!」

「My 2 teen age grandsons (14 & 17) made our 2nd annual grouse hunting trip to Northern MN. Despite rainy conditions, they had a great time, bringing 8 ruffed grouse back to Blaine, MN to share with family! Yum! Cabin was just as listed in VRBO—older but clean, comfortable beds, nice appliances. Owners pleasant and helpful. Thank you!」
