"My wife and I had a great time while we were there and yes this is not 5 star if that's what you're looking for it's just a nice country home to stay in the only complaint I would have is parking a boat trailer there"

"Everything was perfectly wonderful in this home — truly checks all the boxes: spacious pier, ample room to park multiple jet skis and a boat, vast rooms/living spaces to accommodate spreading out when needed, comfortable beds/oversized sectional, and a screened-in porch that is lovely at night. Will definitely be booking this property again!"

"We really enjoyed staying at the Tar Heel House. It was just what we were looking for on our long weekend getaway with friends and family. It’s nestled back in the woods which gives you the feeling of being in the mountains. Every room in the house offered amazing views of the lake. Easy access putting the boats in at the marina. Lots of open water for skiing, wake surfing and tubing. The fishing was great as well. We caught a variety brim, crappy and catfish. We will definitely be booking and staying again."

"Our family had a wonderful vacation at M&D's Lakeshore Bliss! After visiting the NC Zoo, this was a perfect location to extend our family fun with great water views and plenty of outdoor and indoor amenities. We especially enjoyed kayaking, paddle boarding, fishing and lounging on the screened-in porch. The game room was a big hit for all ages - Pop-a-Shot basketball, karaoke, air hockey, ping pong, pool and so much more. The house was immaculate and the hosts were exceptionally accommodating and responsive. Our family highly recommends this lakeside oasis!!"
