Nestled in the heart of the medieval village of Casoli, this traditional stone house on four floors, perched on the hillside just under the church tower, was built in the 16th century as a storehouse for the local monastery. It has magnificent views and is close to the spa town of Bagni di Lucca and the beautiful walled city of Lucca and Florence.
This spacious property can only be accessed on foot along a steep, ancient cobbled road, about 200m from the parking area. It is not suitable for people with limited mobility. It has been renovated with great care, with chestnut beams and windows, terracotta floors and exposed stonework.
There are two sitting rooms (the second with a double bed and a double sofa bed), a large kitchen, two further bedrooms, a rooftop room which can double up as another bedroom, and two bathrooms (one of which is en suite). There is also a perfect terraced garden with lovely views.
There are no shops in Casoli and the closest supermarket is close by in Bagni di Lucca. There is fast WiFi in the property, good mobile and 4G phone reception.
The property is owned by Amelia and Yogi and is looked after by the manager who lives in the village and knows the area very well. Do let Amelia or Yogi know if you would like additional help from the manager as she can, when available, assist with transport to and from the airport and day trips.
