Great for couples who want their own space

Having three kings with bathrooms made our stay easy. Everyone had their own space plus shared kitchen, dining & social area. The porch is great & having 2 golf carts lets everyone do their own thing. We were there for a wedding & it was easy to get to get to the venues. Communication was excellent.

Excellent Getaway!

We loved our stay at Summer Wind! The house is in a great location, well-provisioned, and the 3-suite set up was perfect for our family. The communication from iTrip Vacations was fantastic from the start and throughout our stay. We didn't need to contact them for anything but we were confident they'd solve any issues quickly, if needed.

Great stay!

We had such a great time at this house. Great location with beautiful oceanfront views. The house was clean and great for two families with kids. Great communication with iTrip. Will definitely return to this house!

Great beachfront BHI holiday weekend stay!

Beautiful and spacious home right on the beach was perfect for our holiday weekend vacation. Plenty of room for our kids and family members to spread out, ample living area and plenty of kitchen space to cook in. Walking distance to the beach makes this place a must stay, would definitely stay again. Easy communication with property manager.

Great vacation stay.

Overall it was a great location. Great beach access and a very friendly atmosphere. The house is roomy and has a great layout. The beds are not comfortable though, so hopefully that is on the short list of things to update. I’d recommend this property to anyone interested in a good relaxing beach vacation.

Wonderful home!

We loved our stay at Summer Wind! We were originally booked at another location, but when we arrived some construction made that home and dock unavailable. The iTrip team were on the spot within minutes and booked us into Summer Wind instead. We were thrilled with the location (right on the beach), newly renovated interior, big windows, and comfy king size beds (3 of them)! And the customer service from iTrip was top notch, as they quickly responded to every question and concern. We highly recommend Summer Wind and will use iTrip for future vacations!

Amazing Stay

We can't recommend Summer Wind enough. The layout was perfect for two small families vacationing together. The inside was spotless with no signs of previous pets, despite being pet friendly. The location can't be beat. The customer service was amazing. Great communication prior to checking in, very responsive when we needed help with something, and thorough follow up regarding checkout. We just got back from BHI and are still riding high from our experience. This place is the best!

Just right!!

We were in town for the Bad water 50 race, and made it a little family vacation. The house was very clean and in a perfect location! The view was spectacular. The ride to the grocery store and pretty much anywhere on the island was only 10 minutes, if that! Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was very well laid out. We thoroughly enjoyed our trip and would definitely stay at this property again!

Perfect Island Getaway – Peaceful, Beautiful, and Luxurious!

Our stay at this beautiful vacation home on Bald Head Island was absolutely perfect! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the stunning views and peaceful surroundings. The house itself was impeccably clean, spacious, and thoughtfully designed with every amenity we could need. We especially loved relaxing on the porch, soaking in the gorgeous sunsets, and enjoying the fresh island air. The location was ideal – just a short walk to the beach, yet tucked away enough for complete privacy and tranquility. The golf carts provided made exploring the island so much fun, and the hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to unwind and make lasting memories! Highly recommend this home to anyone looking for a serene, luxurious island getaway

Great time at BHI

We had a terrific time at Summer Wind. The location was perfect. The house had everything we needed. We took our mother who does not get around well. The steps were hard for her but she managed and having a house on all one floor was helpful. The golf carts helped us get her around to see the island. Hope to return soon.

Winter on the beach

This house worked out well for a multi-generational trip with 4 bedrooms off the main open space, all on one floor. Great location right on the dunes with private beach access. The management team was responsive to questions via text. There were a few minor issues related to winter travel that they could improve on - more blankets, and plastic coverings for the golf carts. Overall we'd recommend this house!

another amazing iTrip

This is our 4 year going to Bald Head Island and staying with iTrip. We love going in January because it feels like we have the island to ourselves. The house was exactly as described except the winter sunset views were more remarkable than words. Locking down our dates for 2025 and trying to decide if we try a different property or go back to the same house. Highly recommend it if you are looking for a clean turnkey vacation getaway. iTrip was great to communicate with and I love their text option for any questions that might come up during our stay.

Steps to beach

We loved our Summer Wynd stay. 3 weeks of heaven with family and friends coming and going. Add a puppy, and it is the perfect vacation. The house layout is simple with bedrooms on each side and an open kitchen, dining, and TV/living area. ItripsNC, are really great. They had bikes tuned up when we mentioned wanting to ride, gave us local names and recommendations, and even supplied our margarita needs from Southport, personally delivering and bringing a couple of bags of ice as a bonus. We highly recommend this property!!!!

Great house!

My family of 4 recently stayed for a week at Summer Wind. What a great house! Everything seems to be updated for all bathrooms and kitchen as well as flooring. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, the beds were very comfortable and the house is open and spacious inside with lots of light pouring in. The kitchen is very well stocked for people who love to cook like us. The washer dryers worked very well . The outside back deck has super chunky, sturdy, comfy outdoor furniture to eat dinner on, lounge or have a cocktail. The front deck was very breezy and beautiful to sit out on as well. The house has 2 new golf carts that were fantastic to tool around the island or run errands. They are both in their own bays in a two car garage. Two outdoor showers were fabulous. The location of the house is perfect for access to the beach, and the proximity to the market or any other place you’d want or need to visit is very close. We already booked for next year and cannot wait. NC Beaches Itrip Vacations are fantastic, super responsive and very accommodating. They keep you well updated as well. Highly recommend!

One of the Best Beach Homes We’ve Stayed In!

This is a fantastic beach home! We had a wonderful 6 night stay just before the summer season kicks in. The bedrooms and living spaces are all large and clean (3 king beds-are you kidding me?), the kitchen is well equipped, and we loved having 2 outdoor showers, even though it was too cool for a lot of beach time. Golf carts got us everywhere we needed to go easily, and were easy to use. I wanted to give 4 and a half stars, but half-stars are not an option … the only things that kept me from giving 5 stars were pretty minor…a circuit breaker blew using the microwave and toaster at the same time, and we couldn’t find the breaker panel (it’s in a kitchen cabinet!), and we didn’t get a reply from our text about it until next morning. Also, the rug in one bedroom was pretty full of dog hair-you can’t really see it from standing because of the pattern and style of rug, but getting on the floor as part of a morning workout, it was pretty obvious, and off-putting. Beach chairs are getting kind of old and rusty, but that seems pretty typical at the beach homes we’ve rented. None of this should deter anyone from renting, but for me, things should be PERFECT for a five star review. We would definitely rent the house again! The proximity to the beach was amazing, and it felt SO private-just what we were looking for!

This property is fantastic. We love the location. The golf carts are in good order The Suites are on opposite sides of the house so we never heard the other couple staying with us having a pathway to the beach is great, especially when you have two pups we would definitely stay here again

Our Favorite Rental

We've been coming to Bald Head for the past 15 years and this was our favorite place of all those we've ever stayed in. The layout with four large bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms gave us plenty of space and privacy while the large, light-filled great room and kitchen made Summer Wind feel big and comfortable for our group. The location can't be beat! Steps to a nearly private beach and gorgeous views off the deck or from the great room all day. Sunsets were especially beautiful. The iTrip staff were very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely be staying here again.
