Escape to the cozy comforts of the Chardonnay Chalet, a beautifully wooded property located on a private road—perfect for a relaxing getaway. This charming 3-bedroom, 1-bath chalet accommodates couples, families, or groups, with flexible sleeping arrangements for up to 10 guests. Enjoy real beds: 1 king, 3 queens, and 2 twins, plus a glider rocker and playpen/crib for infants or toddlers.

Located just 3 miles from the boat launch (featuring a small beach), you can easily spend your days on the water or exploring nearby lakes. Bring your ORVs or snowmobiles and ride straight from the cottage to the trails, with plenty of parking for trailers. World-class fishing for trout, salmon, and steelhead is available in the renowned Pere Marquette, Pine, Big Manistee, and Little Manistee Rivers, with excellent pan fishing in local lakes. Golf courses and restaurants are within a mile, and kayak or canoe trips are easy to arrange locally.

Inside, you’ll find comforts for every season: central air conditioning, forced air heat, a pellet stove for cozy nights, a hot tub, and a screened in room. The state-of-the-art Culligan water softener and rust removal system ensures clear, clean water for cooking and bathing. Each bedroom is equipped with a smart TV, and a DVD player is in the living room along with a selection of movies for private downtime. High-speed WiFi keeps you connected, so you can stay in touch or stream your favorite shows.

Security is provided by Ring cameras on the front yard and backyard/shed only. For your safety and comfort. We ask that you please provide an accurate head count when booking.

Great stay at this wonderful vacation rental.

This home is situated on a nice wooded lot where nature adds to the beauty. The rental was inviting, very clean and had everything we needed to be comfortable including an outdoor hot tub with a wonderful view. Definitely would stay here again!

Cute cabin getaway

We loved the cabin! Kitchen is well stocked! The property is nicely shaded and we took advantage of that with our hammocks! Super hot while we were there so only used the hot tub once but can see that it’s a nice bonus perk!

Great vacation home

We used this home as a base to take day trips from. It was the perfect little cottage tucked in the woods. We also stayed there one day and just relaxed because it rained all day. It's nice and quiet.

Family & friends fishing fun

The Chateau was very clean and nicely decorated. A warm comfortable home invited us all in to relax. The fishing was difficult but the time spent at the cottage was relaxing and stress free. The hosts had a nice book out with all the instructions and attractions, as well as a nice bottle of wine.

We come yearly, my best friend and I. We started staying exclusively at this property last year because it checks EVERY box for us. Close to town yet semi secluded. Hot tub, beautiful view of big bucks and herring, close trout fishing. Love it!

This is my third time staying at this rental property, and it was just as great as the first. Check in/out process, cleanliness, amenities, etc. are all top notch. Quiet neighborhood and close to town. The hot tub is the best part. Hope to be back again next year!

Birthday getaway

The house was adorable and very clean loved the pellet stove and hot tub. One thing that was a bummer was there was no toilet paper and paper towel as well. We literally were not there except to sleep and ran out as the role of each was at its endWe had to take down one of the alarms as it was beeping all night until my husband figured out which one to take down.

Week of rest and relaxation

Cottage was super cute. Very clean and cozy. We were a little disappointed that the wet land in the back was dried up but it was still a very peaceful view. Enjoyed the hot tub however do wish it had a little bit more privacy from neighbors, fortunately they were not home during our stay. Over all we had a nice relaxing time.

Great cottage!

We have no complaints. Spotlessly clean, comfy beds, plenty of space indoors. We made use of the fire pit every night. Loved the hot tub! The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking our meals. We enjoyed watching the sunrise and the 20 or so turkeys running through the yard from the swing. The lake is a 5 minute walk. There is access to launch your kayaks, but not a lot of space to sit in the sand. It was a joy to stay here!

So nice we stayed twice!

We love this spot! ORV trails all around offer a fun and scenic ride through gorgeous mature forests. Locals are incredibly friendly and have been especially welcoming of our special needs adult daughter. The wildlife are abundant and we were lucky enough to see turkey, porcupines, deer and a variety of birds all while sitting out back by the fire pit. Big Star Lake is a fun boating and fishing lake and floating/canoeing the Pere Marquette River was a blast. The home is very well stocked, comfortable and the complimentary wine was a great treat! Excellent place to vacation and unwind.

Labor Day Weekend

Had a great time at this property! The house was super cute, well maintained and fully stocked. We spent a lot of time just relaxing and loved having the hot tub on the property. The only negative is that the beach access is very small, there really isn't a public "beach" and it's not as pictured in the listing. We really didn't feel welcome on the lake or in the access area and didn't stay long. Other that that, it was a perfect getaway to unwind and Helen was super responsive. Great hosts and wonderful property!

Peace and Quiet

Very well maintained and well stocked property that was incredibly quiet and comfortable. We were staying in proximity to family so did not use all of the amenities as we were out for the majority of the day time hours. But it was so nice to return to Chardonnay for the night time comfort of good beds and absolute quiet! The property was very clean. Supplies were more than adequate. Communication with the owner was very easy as they responded quickly to questions during the booking process. No contact was needed during our stay as everything was in excellent order Thank Yoo for the care and attention you give to the details
