"We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage. The grounds of Maesgwynne Mansions (on which this small courtyard of cottages is situated) are lovely; this time of year flowering rhododendrons are a highlight, and a walk around took us past the fishing lake and neighbouring fields with various farm animals. There are fabulous views, and the outdoor swimming pool had a cover enabling us to use it even in early May. very peaceful & highly recommended."

"Having just spent 4 nights at The Fox and Hounds we can thoroughly recommend it. Firstly the room we had (no.5) was well decorated, very clean with tea/coffee/hot chocolate and biscuits. The bathroom was very clean with a generous sized shower and plenty of towels. We had 4 evening meals and the food was lovely, home cooked with generous portions. The staff are all very friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious and really set us up for the day. My only hope is that they eventually become dog friendly accommodation and then we can return with our dog for another stay! Thanks very much for a wonderful break! 😀"

"Loved its location, just a short walk from the beach, although slightly steep. Free parking. We loved the hotel, although it appeared a little dated and maybe required some upkeep, it had great facilities and staff. It had a swimming pool, a pool table in a conservatory with tables. The rooms were great, we had the family studio and it had a large bedroom, great comfy bed, through which was a small kitchenette, with dining table and another 2 single beds and a fan. Couldn't fault the space. The only thing I would say is that if the curtains were blackout, we would have had a better sleep. We really liked it and would stay again"
