"We stayed in this property for 3 nights. The owner lives in the main house (same property), so he is available if you need him. Great location, in middle of typical country set up! You can see horses etc from neighboring farm from the property. Park entrance is just 30 mins away. Just a bit of caution: don't expect quick grab of food or coffee nearby. "Great location in Orange County Va farm land very close to many attractions and with in reach to Charlottesville for a day trip via country road route 20 ( no traffic lights). The cottage is an outbuilding on the Bloomingdale Farm property that is surround by working farms. The view from the porch is peaceful and relaxing with the Blue Ridge off in the distance. Highly recommend making a trip to Stanley (about 15 minutes) to the Hawksbill Diner for breakfast! Only open 6am - 2pm. Great food and service. Cash only. "Secluded location though a short drive to Shenandoah Natl Park. Fronts on a creek with relaxing sounds of moving water. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was great; the furniture downstairs could use an upgrade. Large kitchen area with everything we needed. "House was comfortable for everyone! Very clean with nice linens and towels. Kitchen had all that we needed. Great location with several good restaurants and shops near by. We were there for UVA graduation so it was a bit out of the way, but the drive back and forth was so lovely with all the farms to look at. Hosts were so easy to communicate with too. There are two flights of stairs with all bedrooms upstairs. I Would stay there again any time in Orange!"
