The front desk person was very creepy and almost dragged out how long it should’ve taken for check in by asking me odd questions. Didn’t even feel comfortable staying there or even returning the key myself, so we check out 45min later and I had my spouse return the key

The hotel was very dated. The courtyard and surrounding area was well maintained. The issue occurred upon checking into the room. Our first room was an adjoining room with a door in between and we could hear every word and bark of the dog. Very thin walls. Staff was accommodating to get us another room but it was also very dated. It looked like they were updating some of the rooms but ours was not great. Also went from 2 beds to a king.

Never stayed at this property. I didn’t feel safe due to the people that were there. Lots of foul language from what seemed to be a regular patron. People in the lobby with 12 packs of beer. People hanging out in the parking lot playing music and dancing.

THE GOOD. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. My room was updated with flooring and faucets as well as a comfy bed and very clean. Breakfast was well done and had a nice choice of healthy alternatives like cereal, yogurt, and fruit. Eggs, bacon, sausage, and potatoes were tasty. However, the grits and gravy were bland and tasteless. THE BAD. There was no coffee maker in the room and the fixtures were outdated. Ice maker not working on my floor. Thin walls meant I heard my neighbor for most of the night. I stay here quite often because the price is right for the value and will continue to stay on my trips through the area.

Stayed for 2 nights while we hiked in SNP. Room was clean, but had to call about the tub and bath mat being dirty upon arrival. Housekeeping fixed it right away. The staff here are so pleasant and professional. The breakfast offerings were good for most people. I wish they offered plant-based and gluten-free breakfast items a la carte. The only complaint I have is that we put out the DND sign on our door and left for an afternoon, only to return to the sign being removed and trash being collected. Not all the trash, just 1 can. And no towels replaced or beds made. So I don't know what the housekeeper was doing in there. The pool area is clean, and we mostly had it to ourselves. Culpeper looks to be a cute little town, but we didn't get a chance to walk around due to heavy rain the day we left.
