Overall, the staff was very informative and helpful - however, one staff member told me there was no highway that veered off from Hwy 1; in essence, he was say there was no Bow Valley Parkway. I had to check with others to verify this was a route. This wasn't very helpful.
The room itself was very small (cute?) and rather cramped - not a great value for the money, and we had to call to get housekeeping to bring new towels, etc.
The grounds were nicely kept, though there wasn't much in the way of landscaping and room to walk around (that I saw). Our door needed to be sealed a couple of times as many insects made their way into the room.
Apparently, the hot tub wasn't working when we were there, and (this was disappointing), and while I did try to use the gym a couple of times, going down there was like going back into the 1980s - old, outdated equipment, dim lighting and uneven flooring. Also there was a dark, damp and dismal energy in the room. My daughter and I remarked that this would be a 'great place for a murder' - I could swear this part of the hotel was haunted..!
We didn't eat in the restaurant, so I can't comment on the breakfasts, etc.
Overall, I have to say that we were disappointed by our stay there, given what we paid for it.
