The hotel is so-so, nothing special about them. Pretty old. On top of it, they charged $15 to change my original room that was not good. And then they wouldn't issue me a receipt.
Later I called them to email me a receipt and they said it is an expedia booking and they can't talk to me. I called expedia and had the agent called them and they said the same thing to them. How the hell is anyone supposed to talk to them to get a receipt which they have charged for ??!!!
From our initial welcome to the KTInn from “Just Deb” to the graciousness extended to our party of 4 was a shock, to be truthful. The generosity from Sean and “Just Deb” extended to us when we got stranded, unwittingly, at Jordan Pond House, after dinner Wednesday evening was truly exemplary. Recommendation- don’t use Uber. (Sorry, Uber, we use you everywhere but this was a huge disappointment when driver whom brought us to Jordan House said he might come back and get us). Take your own vehicle and don’t get stranded like we did. Thanks to the staff at the KTInn, who came and picked us up at 8:30 pm, we were shuttled back safely to our rooms there. Truly an unexpected graciousness not seen in other parts of the world. Shout out of immense thanks, and relief, to “just Deb” and Sean from the KTInn and to Savanna at the Jordan Pond House!
Absolutely loved this hotel, would definitely stay again. Breakfast was good with plenty of hot options. Pool was heated, room was nice and clean. Staff were extremely nice. Some areas were under construction but didn’t affect our stay at all.
Staff were all so nice and helpful. Lovely lawn down to the harbor. Bed was too hard for me, but overall great place to stay. Restaurant next door is convenient, as was the bus to Acadia and other parts of the area.
Perfect location for visiting Acadia National Park! There is a restaurant on the property that had excellent food! We ate there several times during our week long stay. It was great to be out of the hustle & bustle of Bar Harbor yet have a small town nearby to get groceries as well as do laundry. Dave, at reception, was awesome & very helpful. The other 2 people we encountered at reception weren’t that friendly or helpful. Highly recommend getting a harbor view - made relaxing at the end of the day so nice
I enjoyed my stay at the Kimball Terrace inn. The staff in the lobby/gift shop (open 24 hours) were kind and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was beautiful and looked clean, but I didn't get a chance to use it. I enjoyed the onsite restaurant/ lobster pound also. Walking distance to quaint shopping district and right across from a pier. During the season, it is on the free shuttle route (I was there a week before the shuttle started, so I couldn't take advantage, but I had a rental car anyway). Older place with old fashioned keys and older decor, but VERY well kept. It was accessible with an elevator. I would definitely stay there again if I am visiting the area.
We were told ahead of time and when we checked in that we had a harbor view.
We were on the first floor and were staring at the pool. You could kinda sorta see the water.
A small thing, but it was a chore to use the AC outlets and there were no USB outlets (if I remember correctly).
The property was very clean; inside our room and around the property. Everything looked as is from the pictures. For what we paid, we definitely feel it was highly inflated due to the 4th considering we just came from an AirBNB in Camden that was top notch compared to this. We booked this city late, which is our fault. The view itself was great (if you got a room facing the harbor) and a small amount of stores/places was nearby to walk to. The drive to Bar Harbor was only 20 minutes, which wasn’t bad at all. The only feedback that is negative would be that our room did have a funky smell; I highly wondered how well the ventilation is considering the water get so hot in the shower and you could see splats above the shower caused by the condensation. The bed was sooooo uncomfortable and the pillows were insanely flat. We did ask the front desk for 2 more pillows and the older lady working was not very friendly. Would we stay again? Yes. If we found somewhere else during the same time that was a little higher, we’d probably give it a shot if it came with a better quality room and newer design.
Staff were helpful and attentive. Room was nice and clean. Pool was very clean and refreshing. On site restaurant was also delicious! All around a great stay, wish we could have stayed longer!
