"We had a wonderful time here! There are so many different options for swimming—the lazy river, pool, wading pool, indoor pool and hot tub, plus it’s right on the ocean! The room was large and able to fit our family of 5 comfortably. We loved the snack shop and especially loved that they provided paper plates and bowls and utensils for when we got takeout. The breakfast was good and we especially loved that it went until ten. Our one complaint was the doors were a little hard to open, but that can also be a good thing with our rambunctious little boys. Will definitely be coming back here. "

"My husband and I stayed with our two dogs and regretted not staying two weeks! The home was very cozy. We stayed in the king bedroom and the bed was so comfortable (this is always important to us because my husband has back issues). The weather was in the low 60s the first few days but we didn’t mind because the pool was heated and so amazing to swim in and the hot tub was perfect! The walk to the beach was short so that was good! We got a pass to drive on the 4x4 beach with our Bronco and saw the wild horses and relaxed watching the ocean. Overall our stay was amazing!"

"This was a very family friendly, pet friendly option. We were able to go to the beach and also relax at the Inn with the Pier right at our Inn. The newly renovated Olympic size pool at a close to walk/drive facility was also a plus. You get wrist bands to go there with the purchase of the rooms. We would definitely go back. "

"The condo was just perfect for the 2 of us. Communication with the owners was timely and check in was flawless. Everything was clean and well laid out. The view of the ocean from the back deck (4 nice chairs) is amazing. We spent a lot of time on the deck watching the waves and relaxing. The walk to Duck is an easy .8 mile. There's a ton of places to explore in the area. Plenty of great restaurants are within a few minutes and the grocery store is close. Except for the cool, rainy weather (yes it's May), we had a great vacation at Dune Nest."

"We are seasoned VRBO vacationers. This home was the cleanest that we have ever stayed in. The house was in perfect condition. No wobbley tables, broken drawers, rusty beach chairs, etc. The owner genuinely seems to want you to enjoy his property and your vacation. He helped us with some transportation issues that we had and saved us an entire day of travel. As for the location, we have never been to the Outer Banks or a 4X4 beach. We drive a regular SUV and had no trouble figuring out the air in the tires and navigating the sand. We saw horses everyday. This beach has beautiful white sand and the water is clear. It really isn't as remote as one of the other comments suggested. It is maybe a bit of a hassle to deflate and air you tires, but there are plenty of places to put air in your tires for free. We made a list and grocery shopped once and went in for a meal and shopping on another afternoon. If you have any hesitations about booking this location, I highly recommend staying here. This was one of the best vacation weeks that we have had."
