"A lovely quiet place perfect for a night away. Clean and comfortable. Great host, always there to help out. Just be aware that the hot tub is a paid extra, something that is not mentioned but that is not the hosts fault. They are unsure why that information is missing from the listing. Hotels.com were useless at trying to sort that out. But don't hesitate to book this place, just maybe drop them a message about using the hot tub first. "Room was clean and comfortable, we had our own little patio area with a table and chairs. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, I had a poached egg with my bacon and sausage , it was cooked to Perfection ."

"We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, especially the restaurant staff. Our room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. Loved the extra large, fluffy white towels in the bathroom. We slept very well. It was very peaceful. We had an evening meal and breakfast in the restaurant. Both were good. The breakfast buffet was superb."

"The White Horse Inn is a gem! We were allocated one of the "shepherd huts" which is designed to look a bit like a gypsy caravan. It's somewhat compact, but has all the modern features one requires. Special mention must be made of the air conditioning -- it was mid-summer when we stayed and the outside temperature was in the high 30s. We slept soundly in the cool cabin. The full English breakfast was comprehensive and delicious. We would gladly stay there again if we're in the area."

"We didn’t get off to the best start as arrived to find a notice on the pub door to say that there was no power and pub was shut! Had to call a number to book in, young man arrived and assured us that our rooms were unaffected and that breakfast would be provided in the morning. Room clean and comfortable, major plus was good sized bath towels. Breakfast was indeed provided, full English cooked fresh to order, Kevin was lovely. Only complaint is that we weren’t forewarned about the pub being closed. "

"Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Breakfast is cooked to order and of an excellent quality. The staff are all helpful and efficient. The hotel is ideally situated for access to the town centre, Dad's Army Museum, bus station and is about 15 minutes' walk from the train station. The bar is welcoming and serves a good selection of drinks. There is a small outdoor courtyard area in which to sit if the weather permits. On the negative side, the hotel is definitely in need of some refurbishment and painting, plus replacement of carpets."
