Rustic Lakefront Cabin with Bonus 'Tree House' - A Place to Unwind
10/10 Excellent
"We found the cabin to be very clean inside and out, and everything matched the description and photos. The host was responsive when we reached out. The location is ideal for exploring Olympic National Park, with easy drives to Hurricane Hill, Lake Crescent, and Sol Duc Falls, and reasonable access to Rialto, Ruby Beach, and the Hoh Rainforest. Port Angeles is also nearby for groceries and fuel. The views from the house exceeded expectations and made it easy to fully relax and disconnect. There’s no WiFi, but Verizon service worked fine. We really enjoyed unplugging. The kayaks were a highlight—we used them daily with very little lake traffic, and even caught kokanee salmon and a rainbow trout while trolling. The water was still a bit cold for us in June, but manageable with wetsuits for the kids. Evenings around the campfire were great, and the kids loved the Super Nintendo with built in games. While the driveway and walkway are steep, they were very manageable for us, and the floor slope was hardly noticeable after the first day. I would not let any of this deter you unless you have mobility issue. Overall, this was one of our best national park vacations, and the cabin truly made it special. We’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to others. The daily visits from ducks and a chipmunk were a fun bonus!"
Peaceful, Cozy place in the woods. A short distance to everything good outdoors
10/10 Excellent
"I don’t know how to describe this place without going on and on, but I’ll try to make it brief… and short this place is a little slice of heaven. Property is gorgeous. The host is probably one of the nicest people I’ve ever met in my life. Also and don’t forget his beautiful dog blue. Who is without a doubt, the friendliest dog in the world. If you choose to stay here, you will not regret it. It is comfortable and very clean. It’s so cozy and close to so many beautiful sites. You won’t regret staying here and you won’t wanna leave and you’ll definitely be back."
Cozy Lakefront Cabin on Lake Sutherland – A Peaceful Lakefront Getaway
8/10 Good
"Location on beautiful lake Sutherland is gorgeous!! But the home while cute and comfortable really needs a little updating. I’d recommend some fresh paint. No WiFi or tv and the primary bedroom has a double bed which was a little tight for hubby and me, but the setting is really lovely."
"An absolutely lovely little cabin, tucked away right near Lake Crescent. Has all the essentials and creature comforts you’re likely to need (except maybe WiFi) and has a decent restaurant a quick walk away. The cabin was very clean and tidy, and we really loved the architecture and aesthetic, including the sky light, open beams, and huge windows. The kitchen is also spacious and well-supplied, and though we didn’t use them, it’s great to have a washer/dryer available. Our pups also loved having some large open spaces to run around in, though we didn’t trust them off-leash due to proximity to main roads. Though the highway is quite close by and there is some traffic noise, we didn’t find it too bothersome as the forest dampened it. Overall it was a very enjoyable and affordable stay. We really enjoyed it, and recommend!"
"It was much warmer in the shelter than expected! It was 49 degrees the night we stayed and I actually had to push off some blankets during the night. The bathroom was clean and had hot water which was very nice. Our dogs enjoyed their time as well! "
"The bus was cozy and spacious enough for 2 people, we were very comfortable and loved seeing what it would be like to sleep in a bus without having to drive one to the beautiful setting."
