“It’s new and clean. Everyone is kind and nice. It’s close to the south gate of Shenandoah national park and the north gate of blue ridge road. ”

“The first thing I noticed was everything you see when you arrive is geared towards making you feel welcome. This continued with checking in. Fast, friendly and helpful. The whole experience continued through the whole stay. We got several texts asking how we were enjoying our time and asking if we needed anything just ask. Small details that stand apart from others. “While the property is lovely and the stay has been nice, I will say that the information provided before finalizing the booking was missing pertinent information. There was no mention of the two sets of stairs at the front entrance. There was no mention of receiving a code for entry to property until after I booked a non-refundable booking. I had sent a query to the property but did not receive an answer before booking later the same day (the day of arrival). I did book through a third……

“We really enjoyed the Statler for an anniversary getaway. The whole experience was great—the location is prime for Staunton’s downtown, the common areas of the house were well appointed and well stocked with various treats, the room was very spacious and comfortable, and they are very thoughtful about providing what you need to have a great stay. It is a historic house, so be prepared for creaky floors and for sound to bounce around the house in strange ways. But, again, they provided a sound……
