“Nice old property with much character. Background music could be lower volume or off. Meals and staff good. Really enjoyed the short stay.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Old Mill. Good location as we were planning to catch the ferry from Lymington. Nice gardens. Very helpful staff especially Yan who was knowledgeable about the wines. Very comfortable bed and evening meals were delicious. Definitely would recommend for a relaxing stay”

“Not a luxury hotel but for the price its pretty good. The room layout is similar to a chain hotel room and it was clean and tidy. The staff were great and always friendly. I never ate here so cant comment on the food. They have entertainment on at the weekends which you can hear in your rooms but its not excessive and finished at 10 pm each night. I would happily stay here again if i found myself in the area. ”

“Hotel was in a good location and room was nice. A couple of the fittings need attention and the cleaners did not replace “consumables”. It is a self checkout so can’t rate the stafff. Overall a good stay”

“We booked a night at this hotel with a spa. The hotel contacted Expedia to explain the spa was under renovations and out of use. Expedia did not give me the message. The sole reason for booking this hotel was because of the spa. Expedia failed in passing on the information. The hotel upgraded us and did everything they could to make the stay very enjoyable but Expedia let me down and I would like a refund from Expedia”

“Lovely hotel , restaurant service was very slow , we waited nearly 30 minutes for our drinks . It also annoys me how they now try and automatically add service charge to the room charge , I politely challenged this and was told that this has been introduced as the staff all earn a minimum wage .Note to hotel owners, pay your staff a decent wage !”

“We stayed overnight in a beautiful room with a roll tol bath. A very comfortable bed and fantastic breakfast.”

“A warm and welcoming hotel in an excellent location. The decor in the bar and restaurant was stylish and unique and our room was also full of character, spacious and clean. Breakfast was superb! All the staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was ample and free and convenient. I’m already recommending this place to my friends.”

“Spotless. Resupply of milk, cookies and other water! Food fabulous! Just a tad noisy it carries, with bar, restaurant all the one room, no carpet but in the summer I am sure with doors open that would soon be fixed.”

“You have to pay for internet in room, I was lucky they upgraded me , but my so called internet room is just a room happen to receive signal from the lobby. The staffs are great and kind, room is old. Carpark is 5 pound per night, walk 10 Mins to town 15 mins to pier and beach. Check in time is crazy 4pm and check out time is 10am , late check out at 11am is 10 pounds extra. Personally I can't stand of it, but didn't know until I got there. ”

“Currently the hotel is under refurbishment. A lot of amenities wasnt available. Including a hot breakfast on Sunday morning, which was on Saturday. Not a lot of food available on either days. Didn't have the same feel as other macdonald hotels. Rooms were far from reception, which was tricky when it was raining. Rooms were OK. ”
