"My family and I stayed for the Memorial Day weekend, and we couldn't have asked for anything better. This house was absolutely beautiful! The house had everything we needed. Everything was labeled so we were able to find anything we needed with ease. There is so much provided for the guests. The number of games we had access to make this a true winner for the kids. The location was perfect, and the water access was just what we wanted. This was truly the perfect weekend away. Edie was great! Will definitely be retuning soon!"

"The house was perfect for our family. The boat dock was awesome. We had a lift for our boat. Plenty of space to hang out in the sun or in the shade. There is also a mini fridge. The cove was great for swimming and paddle boarding. The screened in porch was great for dinner outside and games. The host was very responsive. Answered every question in a timely manner. Check in was easy. Within 20 minutes of a grocery store. The property is located in a nice cove. Our only concerns were the walk to the boathouse has a large amount of roots covering the paths. You really have to be alert walking to the dock. The exterior was freshly painted and looked beautiful however the steps were slippery when wet. Neither are a huge deal, just be cautious. We definitely will rent this house again. It was wonderful!"

"Our family of four generations enjoyed a wonderful Mother’s Day weekend at The Great Escape. It is a lovely property, well maintained and with plenty of fun activities for any age. The views are amazing from most any room in the home. I love that the owners pay great attention to detail and ensure that guests have access to everything needed during the stay and has provided meticulous notes to assist with a stress free visit! My niece, a local TV anchor, enjoyed the visit enough to mention how wonderful our visit to Lake Gaston was during her news broadcast! Truly a splendid family trip!"
