Avoid this Bass Lake rental

This rental is handled by Bass Lake Home Rental. They are totally incompetent and between them and Vrbo I was over charged compared to the reservation confirmation and endless finger pointing between the two and my credit card to resolve the overcharges. They still overcharged twice for the cleaning fee. Worst yet I haven't received a refund of my security deposit. The property is very dated from the 1950's with a creepy décor of scary clown painting and haunted old doll collection. Upon entry there is an overwhelming old pine smell from wood panels throughout the property. The 6 bed bedroom is a poorly designed extension having to go through 2 other smaller bedrooms to access. There was no hot water on the 1st night and we had to go outside in the 30 degree darkness to find that the gas water heater pilot was out and had heck of a time to reignite. The carbon monoxide / smoke detector was sitting on the kitchen counter with old batteries pulled out. The refrigerator has soaking wet from a water leak c
