「Gorgeous peaceful retreat! Booked a last minute stay for my family of four, and could not have been more pleased. Everything was clean, comfortable, and the setting was beautiful. From morning coffee on the deck to stargazing it was as perfect. John’s welcome packet has great tips for nearby restaurants and sites that we enjoyed, and lots of helpful info. Would go back in a heartbeat. 」

「Had a wonderful stay at the Walden. Found the cabin to be neat and clean. Check in process was simple with lock box and code provided just prior to arrival. The location feels secluded although there are neighbors you can’t see them and rarely hear them. The private spot on the river is perfect for fishing, floating and wading. Can’t wait to go back. 」

The house was very clean, the beds were comfortable, the instructions were clear, check-out expectations were fair and basic, and the kitchen was well-stocked. We used the hot tub, grill and fire pit - and all were great. We stayed for three nights and could have easily - and happily - stayed for many more.」

「Very nice and peaceful location and the cabin is nicely decorated. Hostess left loads of spices, etc. for adding to cooking meals. The cabin was very clean ( something we always look for). We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!!」

「Great place for family getaway. My family loved the house and the neighborhood. Deers were visiting the property everyday. Few small issues that were take care of by the host right away. Realy appreciated great communication.」

「This location is beautiful! It is very relaxing whether you are by the lake, the pool, or just walking around the property. The fishing was a lot of fun and there’s a good variety of fish. Also, there is a reason most reviews comment on how nice Tabby is. She is a very lovely person! The space was very roomy and clean. It was myself, my husband, and our two kids, and we fit very nicely in the space. I think the coffee bar was my favorite! I would very happily stay there again! 」

「Practically perfect. The accessibility was perfect. Possibly one of the best stocked kitchen for my chef husband. Location to Luray perfect. Porch & swing great. Communication from host instant. The corn hole perfect for kids. To make it 7 star, dark towels for hot tub, maybe some mini shower wash & shampoo bits, compared to the well stocked kitchen. Consider an electric roof cover for hot tub on those hotter days. But this did not distract from a great stay. 」
