Croll Cabins-Price Bunkhouse - #4 at Vallecito Lake

Price Bunkhouse is a intimate lakeside cabin with splendid lake and mountain views.  The cabin has 2 bedrooms (1 queen, 1 twin, and 3 bunks) and 1 small full bath with a shower.  The wood paneling and fireplace help to create a cozy atmosphere.  This cabin is excellent for small families and the fenced patio area is perfect for pets.


LOCATION

Nestled on the eastern shore of Vallecito Reservoir, the cabins are surrounded by 961 acres of recreational land, providing plenty of outdoor activities right nearby, and averages over 300 sunny days a year.

Croll Cabins is 45 minutes from Durango, Colorado, known for its Durango to Silverton train ride and historic downtown. Purgatory Ski Area is just over an hour, and Wolf Creek Ski area is an hour and a half. Pagosa Springs, CO is about an hour and a half away, boasting of the world’s deepest hot springs.


WINTER ACCESS

4WD/AWD May be required from November / March, the property is plowed, however, one hill must be traversed for access, and we cannot guarantee snow will be plowed at arrival.

Price Bunkhouse at Croll Cabins was awesome. Very quaint and cozy - perfect for a stay at Vallecito Lake. The views of the lake and mountains from the front windows of the cabin were fantastic. The folks at Croll Cabins are extremely friendly and helpful! The pups enjoyed the yard and taking a stroll along the water's edge. Highly recommend staying here whether you just need a home base or if you need a place to relax and rest!

Family Paradise

We had a wonderful time at Croll Cabins! The owner and staff were amzing and super friendly. This place is not like most that want to nickle and dime you until you have nothing left to give. They offer free firewood, kayaks, paddle boards, and a paddle boat with your stay! If you are looking for a great family get away, this is your place!

The cabin was perfect. Everything you could need. Comfortable beds and a nice shower. Beautiful fenced yard with a grass yard behind the cabin over looking the lake. Awesome fishing from the back of the cabin. Next visit we will be staying longer.

Beautiful Retreat!

The cabin worked out perfectly for my husband, mother and myself. The location is in a perfect location for fishing and fun. The water and Mountain views from the cabin windows are simply stunning!!. And the access to the lake is a minute walk from the backyard. Mike and his wife do an amazing job with making your stay comfortable and relaxing. We are very grateful to the Croll family for making their property available for us to use and providing access to a variety of watercrafts and toys for families

Wonderful Rustic!

To experience the beauty and wonder of this place with accommodations like home? Amazing. Now don't get misled, this probably isn't like your home, but a huge step above car camping (and miles away from backpacking) with comfortable beds, a kitchen, indoor plumbing, fireplace and couch, and enough space for my family of 5 to relax in a really peaceful escape from hectic city life. They even had water "toys" we could use (kayaks, and SUP boards), so if we didn't fish, we had diversions for the kids. Fish? YES, Rainbow Trout are biting just below on the Pine river, bring your fly rod kit! Grateful for the time-away spent at the Croll Cabins.
