「The photos on the website are nothing like the hotel itself. Some areas have been painted and the room carpet and decor are clean but the hallways smell and the carpets are ancient and worn. There is no bar, no food at all. We booked two nights and the room wasn’t serviced during our stay. The bathroom is ancient and in poor condition. The beautiful woodwork in the main areas is sticky and in need of renovation as is the whole hotel. We saw only 3 staff members during our stay all if which...

「Stayed one night at the Shrewsbury rooms from start to finish everything was great we stayed in room one on ground floor well the decor the cleanliness everything was lovely would definitely stay here again. 「The beautiful setting and views of the river Severn were wonderful. The staff were always extremely helpful and welcoming. The bedroom was very comfortable and clean. The breakfasts and evening meals were of very good quality. It was our first visit to Shropshire and we would certainly come back to the Riverside Inn which was perfectly situated for day trips to Shrewsbury, Ironbridge and David Austin Roses, among other places.」
