The concept of southern hospitality doesn’t exist at this Inn. We expected a charming, welcoming and cozy stay. We received a rude staff - unfriendly greeting, and certainly nothing cozy. The room smelled of musty mold. Breakfast was good- but no Diet Coke? - the shower was like a skating rink, pet stained rug in the room and the bed was so small my husband’s feet hung over by a foot. The worse was that they messaged me after the stay asking for tips for the staff and I responded with a similar message and received no reply.

Stayed there during the Beaufort Water Festival and had a challenge with my wife's arrival that was going to cause me a few headaches. I explained my situation to Jeanette who was checking me in and she went above and beyond to instantly solve and was so kind and gracious while doing it. This place defines Southern Charm and Hospitality. Will stay here again for sure!

We had a very nice stay at The Rhett House. Staff was wonderful. breakfast on the veranda was delightful. Parked mere feet from the rear entrance. Unfortunately, the city has some construction going on close by which was a bit noicey and has some street closures nearby. Otherwise, it was very good and we will visit again.

The good things first….the staff and the kitchen/breakfast were wonderful!! The location is central and the convenience of parking in the back was great..however our room left little to be desired. We were downstairs in the basement in room 8, every morning we heard the kitchen staff and then the parade of people for breakfast, it was non stop and so LOUD. The room was so dark, the blinds were broken, so you couldn’t let any light, paint was peeling in places and the furniture needs to be replaced, this room was really bad. Maybe the other rooms are nicer and quiet? It didn’t feel charming it was depressing. The photos on line are so nice that it actually hurts the hotel when you see it in person. It’s a very good rate, packed wrong. If they leaned into funky rather than the beautiful majestic photos it would help greatly with expectation. Loud yet still a great staff with solid breakfast included. Recommend with reservations.
