“We visited the area for a music concert at the Beaver Dam Amphitheater and found this location to be an ideal place to settle back after the concert. The owner of this 30 acre farm lives nearby but not too near by. We texted at times ( like when the TV weathermen were explaining maybe to seek shelter, which the owner graciously offered. The treehouse is well constructed and besides a little creaking and a gentle bump, even when the power went out we were happy as clams. This property is RIGHT on……

“This house is in a very peaceful area. House was clean and comfortable. Loved the sunroom. Due to high water levels it was difficult to use the dock. Lost power, but it was restored quickly. Kitchen is nice and well-stocked. Pans are in rough shape. You definitely need to bring food to cook as there is no place close to eat out or get groceries. We enjoyed Nolin Lake State Park and Mammoth Cave State Park. Overall a nice stay.”

“We had a guys weekend away that included grilling out, playing games, and hanging out. There were a large group of us and the house fit our needs perfectly while giving us an atmosphere that we could relax in and enjoy the natural beauty of Rough River. Mitch was an excellent hose and super easy to work with. My whole group and I would highly recommend!”

“Our family had a very nice 3 night stay. The weather cooperated as much as we needed, and the large covered deck helped out when the weather couldn't contain itself. Mammoth Caves are a very short drive, and the drive to Bolling Green (for the Corvette Museum) was beautiful. The owners of the property could have been more helpful, and responsive. “The property was very nice and clean. I was a little misled with location information. We were looking for something close to mammoth cave and the listing stated 16 minute drive, we couldn’t find that route and it was more like 45 minutes. Maybe if we took the green river ferry but it was only open from 8-6.”

“Terrific, clean spot with spectacular view of Nolin Lake from the porch. While a little long (40min) , the drive to the mammoth caves is beautiful, and the serenity of being on the lake is unmatched. Responsive and helpful hosts.”

“Mike thank u for hosting. Great week and weather. Really enjoyed the rental. As disclosed the single BR had us on a schedule but no issues! Lower level access challenging for mobility impaired with stairs. Mike met us on Saturday and gave some Great tips about lake conditions. View without comparison. Well appointed kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Lots Of space. We fish so did not use TV or Wi fi. Would rent with Mike again and Plan too make this place our new annual gathering place.”

“Myself, husband and 4 kids. 3 days, 2 nights. Peaceful, quiet, relaxing, beautiful, not too far from everything, but not in the city for sure. Not exactly on the lake, but has a boat ramp included. We all loved it! Bath tub was a big plus! My only complaint is that I wish we could have stayed longer.”

“The Redbird Hideaway is a beautiful place to unwind with family. We drank out coffee each morning on the covered porch listening to birds. It was cozy without being crowded and close enough to mammoth cave and lake nolin for us to get some hiking and fishing in during our stay. Highly recommend.”

“We enjoyed our stay here. The house and surrounding property are both beautiful! We loved the grill and the porch swing. We longed to use the fire pit, but the weather didn’t cooperate. Echoing another reviewer, there are only 4 places to dine indoors and we had almost constant rain, so we couldn’t use the ample outdoor dining spaces for our family of 6. This doesn’t really detract from the property, it’s just something to keep in mind if you have a larger party and the weather is bad. The……
