Just OK place near airport. Room Clean. Hot water. Bed firm but not too hard. Slept OK, not much jet noise. Breakfast was usual Chinese fare, mostly carbs, just OK. "Coffee" not good.
Because we were coming into Beijing too late to use the Metro and didn't want to pay a taxi into the city, we decided to stay our first night there. We called hotel and they told us where to find shuttle. Airport pickup shuttle took a little sorting out because there is more than one "Konggang" hotel and different vans go different places. BE SURE TO READ THE ENTIRE NAME ON THE SIDE OF THE VAN. Fortunately, there was a man on site to help. (Note, next morning we learned there is only one shuttle per hour back to airport.) Staff spoke only basic English. It is mostly a Chinese hotel. ONE CURIOUS THING, we have been using a Chinese cell phone in south China with no problems. However could not get Wifi in our room. When we inquired at the front desk (note: we spoke in Chinese for clarity) we were told that Beijing has restrictions on internet use for phones from other areas. WHAT??? At our next hotel in Beijing we had no problems whatsoever.
