“Staff friendly and informative, the food was great. The house was beautiful, clean and comfortable.”

“Very nice hotel. Clean, comfortable rooms. Building has a small pool and gym/workout room. Convenient location. Hotel has a free shuttle to local businesses. McDonalds/gas station/convenience store located next door. Free breakfast including eggs, biscuits and gravy, cereal, waffles, yogurt, fruit, etc.”

“On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, it was quiet, and the property was well maintained—mostly. On the “needs improvement” side, the hot tub was broken and when we asked a housekeeper about it, she responded “long time”. The breakfast was nicely complete but needs to be replenished in a more timely manner and the tables need to be cleaned more often.”

“Requested an early check in a day in advance. Was told 1:30 "would not be a problem" and room was not ready until 3:30. Breakfast area could not accommodate the number of guests there. Shower drain was plugged, left you in inches of standing water.”

“My daughter and I recently stayed at Irish Cottage Inn & Suites and had a great experience. The location was convenient, and although we had to cross a fairly busy road, we were able to walk to downtown Galena easily. We also used the shuttle service once, which was a wonderful perk and made getting around even easier. The rooms were cozy and comfortable, with great shower water pressure and a small refrigerator that came in handy during our stay. I also appreciated being able to grab a cup of……

“The bed was excellent. An outside light could not be covered by and drapes. And a party next door, although muted somewhat in the walls, was still annoying enough to disrupt sleep.”
