Beachfield holiday

Excellent property and location in Bembridge.Safe, quiet garden for dogs.Short walk to Crab & Lobster, short drive to The Olde Village Inn in Bembridge, good food.Definitely like to book again.

Lovely location

We enjoyed our stay. The area is lovely and quiet. Near to the coast, short walk to a supermarket and main part of Bembridge. We didn't eat there but there are two great places to go out to very near. The cottage is tidy and well equipped. Personally we don't need very modern just comfortable clean and tidy is good. The paintwork and carpets were fresh- not sure I'd put such a light colour everywhere but we are shoe removers anyway at home so wasn't an issue for us. . It is lovely and bright - so if need it darker in the mornings then take your own blackout options. The kitchen has a nice space to eat in at a table. The shower had a good flow. The garden is lovely, we didn't really have the weather on our side to sit out in it but nice to look through the window at ! We like to hang the towels up to air - not always possible with the threat of rain and we couldn't find an airer which would of been useful. My daughter says 4.5 but there's no option for that !

Overall disappointed

1 - Front Garden. Full of weeds on uneven path leading to front door along with overgrown beds. Driveway bushes need trimming as uncle to park the car on the concrete. Front door step way too high for anyone with disability. 2 - Back Garden. Nice large garden but spoilt with over grown bushes, with Bindweed in the beds and in the bushes, some full of brambles. (Gardener came the day before we departed but only cut the grass and no maintenance to the above. Patio nice and large but lacks any shade - needs a Parasol. Patio needs a clean. Rotory Dryer in garden - very old and stuck in the bushes so could not hang washing on it. Was repositioned but still unable to use due to its poor condition. 3 - Interior. Property needs a lot of TLC. Bathroom - Shower/Bath - has health and safety issue as there is no bath mat and no grab handles. Dining area - Chairs have flaky vinyl under the covers which drops onto the floor when using. 4 - House instructions - Generally good but no instructions on what day of the week for bin collection.

Very spacious, comfortable accommodation in a quiet location with easy access for touring the island. Very clean & in good condition although the silicone in the bathroom could benefit from a little sprucing up. A most enjoyable holiday.
