Be Advised: No Air Conditioning

Rating Details: The vacation rental was spotless. I was happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is nice and clean and has no A/C. Be aware if this if a summer rental, it can get hot in the summer months.

Great property

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: House was clean. Great layout for our group. Backs up to open space - there is a train that runs behind but it wasn’t disruptive. We stayed there to ski so gone most of the day. Not super close to the village. Did not use the bikes or anything in the garage

Needs much updating

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home is in need of much updating. The beds were very uncomfortable, so much so our company had to go sleep in the kids room. The sofa needs replaced, as it sags everywhere. The place was clean enough, but a very strong mildew smell was on the main shower I believe on the shower curtain. We would not return.

Beware. Train 25 yards away!

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have great experiences with Village Properties generally but this was not one of them unfortunately. The listing doesn't mention that there are train tracks and that the train runs both late at night and into the early morning hours. The first day we discovered this and asked to be relocated and they said they weren't willing to do that. I suppose I would understand if it had been disclosed to us in advance but it wasn't. I feel like that's really dishonest and was upsetting to wake up every night at least once at 2AM or something to it. I love trains, they're awesome, but not in that circumstance.Beside that we have kids and found it to be not great for kids. The floors this and slam the whole time throughout the whole house and it echoes to every room. There's no where to be that's quiet if you have anyone walking around much less kids. The stair case is a major major hazard. It has these lips on the end of every step. I tripped and fell. My wife tripped an fell. My 2 year old tripped and fell face first twice, thankfully I caught up. There was no baby gate available, although we didn't ask for one and I suspect they could have provided it. The pictures made the bunk room look much bigger, it was cramped and there was a lamp standing in between the bunks by the curtains so it kept being a hazard to get knocked over.Lastly, there weren't any dead bolts or latch locks on any doors. So our little kids wandered outside twice.Overall it was stressful and unpleasant. But Village will probably see this and reach out because they are generally a great company and have been extremely accommodating at our other rentals in the area. Most of these are fixable problems.

Perfect House

Beautiful Home!

Overall the House and property were perfect! There are a few things that need to be addressed (Pest control, Maintenance on the bikes). I did leave a message for housekeeping to pass along to property management, but we enjoyed our stay very much. We rode the bikes that were in the garage and went to the SHARC...just a little over 2 miles I think it was one way, but it didn't take long at all. The train tracks are literally right there, but didn't bother us...it actually was kind of fun watching them go by every now and then. Sitting in the hot tub at night, you can look up at the stars. We had 7 of us & were all very comfortable! Sitting out on the deck was so much fun & chairs are comfortable.
