The after hours check in is great and easy to find.

“The rooms have been very recently refurbished and the room was clean and well designed. It had only just been renovated and a nail was protruding from under the carpet which I managed to walk on and gashed my foot. Told the manager whilst eating dinner downstairs in the pub. He thanked me for alerting home to the fact. He went to our room with a hammer to remove the danger. Thought it might have been a nice gesture to have said can I get you two a drink on the house. “Room was very small with creaky floors and very noisy overall. Elm balcony room has a shared balcony which wasn’t specified so I had people talking and hanging outside my room and could see inside my room. This is expensive hotel and I would have expected better rooms but given it’s and old building I guess that’s too be expected. Overpriced for what it is. Staff and service were excellent so that was positive. ”
