"The room was comfortable however, our room was not ready for check-in at 3 PM and we were not able to get into our room until close to 7 PM. The staff did not keep us updated and told us they had no idea when our room would be ready. The property itself feels dated and has a dirty feeling to it. The staff were not overly friendly or entirely helpful when it came to check in or finding our rooms or getting dinner. We will likely not stay again at the resort as a result of our experience."

"Would we stay here again? Absolutely! Do we recommend it to others? 100%. We had a great long-term stay at the Maine Retreat. The place was even more beautiful than expected, and Pia was a gracious host given our particular circumstances. The home has all the essentials for a comfortable stay, including cooking and bakeware, wood for the fire, and access to the lake (8-10 min walk from cabin). As someone else has noted, the beds are a bit tight if you’re sharing with another but it just adds to the cozy atmosphere. Guests should note there’s no AC but there is a ceiling fan in the living area and one standalone fan. We loved the location and that it was a retreat but close to everything Deep Creek has to offer. Anyone would enjoy this place!"

"Property is great! About a 15 minute drive to Wisp Resort/Deep Creek Lake State Park/activities off the main strip of Deep Creek. Pet friendly and they had everything we needed for our pup, crate, food/water bowls/towels, which made traveling so much easier since we didn’t have to bring his stuff with us. The property is beautiful and the interior of the house is stunning! The views from the dock are amazing and it’s such a quiet and peaceful area. We loved the puzzle board/area and the different games that were there we could choose from. Definitely recommend staying here and we would love to come back!"

"This was the perfect trip for the family! The hosts communication was excellent. She was extremely helpful. Check in was a breeze. The cabin was clean and fully stocked. We had a great time in the game room and had a hard time getting out of the hot tub. 10/10, would def stay again!"

"We had a very relaxing and peaceful stay at this property. Nice to be a little further away from the hustle and bustle of town, in a quiet neighborhood. At the same time, an easy drive to restaurants and shops. The house is perfect for a large group with an excellent game room. Cooking was easy and there were plenty of supplies with lots of seating. The interior is very pretty and true to the photos. Plenty of space to spread out. Beds were comfortable with soft, clean sheets. Bathrooms had plenty of fluffy towels! We didn’t use the outside seating as it was early spring except the grilling area, which worked well. "
