Big Spring State Forest Picnic Area

The host was wonderful and very responsive. She even offers extended check out which was great. The listing could be a bit more detailed on the apartment. It appears to be a place to rent rooms but the whole apartment was offered. There is a camera IN the apartment which was very uncomfortable as I felt like I could not get comfortable for the time I was there and being watched I could not enjoy the living room. Other than that I have no complaints.

The location was the best part — 2-3 minute walk to Times Square, we went over multiple times. Breakfast had great variety, the view was excellent, and there was a food event going on the day we arrived, which was a nice touch. A few things went wrong though. At breakfast, Marlene and Andreina wouldn't seat us comfortably while we were traveling with senior citizens and gave us rules for why not — then immediately seated someone else in those same seats who was also in situation similar to ours. AC stopped working in one room, cold water stopped working in another, and a light kept flickering in the room. The luggage holding didn't seem to have any real system either — not efficient. One would expect better upkeep and service from a reputable company like Riu.

Great location for the price. Bed a little small. The room is basic, however spotless and the shower was powerful. Would recommend
