"I had a wonderful stay at this hotel. I was there for two nights after having a business trip to Shanghai and enjoyed my time in this charming city. I have never had a hotel staff be more attentive and helpful in my 25 years of traveling for business. In Shanghai, I stayed at a hotel that cost five times as much as this and no offense to that establishment, but this group of front desk, clerks, and office personnel were the best of my trip. The hotel itself is charming and located in a wonderful neighborhood. I would absolutely stay at this place again. Plus, in an amazing and unprecedented experience as far as my 20 years plus of traveling, they actually did my laundry for me, for free!"

"The most beautiful and enjoyable stay. Hotel is just a year old, the amenities are beautiful. They offer daily cultural experiences like making scent tablets with a master incense maker. Beautiful pool as well although we would’ve enjoyed a warmer pool in early spring. Breakfast amazing, semi- à la carte with a buffet of fruit and pastries. Staff most accomodating as well. I’d really like to come back. The only less desirable thing was when I was loading the car on departure, a staff member came after me for payment of a stock standard canvas shoe bag that I had taken from the room. Those weren’t clearly signposted as for-sale items are usually available to us for taking so it somehow made the experience slightly weird for me especially for the price that we paid. "
