Dreamy location
The Rock House is just beautiful, but its location makes it even more charming. Is super close to downtown and at reasonable distance from all the trending wineries on 290. Communication with host/owners was great. The check in/check out process was very easy and the house have enough accommodations to spend a wonderful weekend, any time of the year. Definitely we would book again!

Family of 4- (3 day Vacation in June)
We decided to visit Blanco for a short getaway from the city. I had seen this property a few years back and had saved it. I'm so glad we finally got to stay in the Rock house. It looks just like the pictures. When we arrived, we were greeted by friendly Mrs. Ruth. All instructions and information emailed was very accurate and helpful. My daughter (age 11) and my son (age 14) had so much fun playing in the river. Most of it is low which makes it feel safe for the kids. If you go a bit to the right once in the water from the access, we found 2 spots where the water hit my husband's chest. Even in the low areas my son greatly enjoyed using the kayak that is available for guests to use. I had paid entry to the Blanco State Park for one of our days there. The day came and we headed over there, my kids and husband took one look at the water and said nope lets go back to the Rock house, the water was so much prettier/clear at the property. So we left and they went straight to it and had a blast. They literally wouldn't get out till the last bit of daylight was gone, around 9pm. Our last full day there the grass was mowed, which made it much more comfortable walking to and from the river. Access to the town is super quick and easy. We had a great time and will definitely stay at the Rock house if we go again.

Stay exceeded beyond expectations..
Everything was so well thought of...the towels, the blankets, toiletries were plentiful..the kitchen is fully equipped....the house is very clean, the decor is to my taste...firewood is available though we didn't use it....the place is 30 minutes away from Pedernales Falls State Park which was the reason why we were in Blanco.....the only downside is that the water level of the river is extremely low... my husband came with his fishing rod😄.. my grandson found the river still exciting however...

Just what we needed!
The property was easy to find and was just what we expected. Everything was spotlessly clean, well taken care of and well stocked. The bed and the furniture were very nice and very comfortable. The kitchen was a pleasure to use and everything we needed was on hand. The host had thoughtfully provided a three hour fire log which we enjoyed using. There was also a supply of firewood. The Grill worked perfectly. We loved watching the deer and one big buck as they wandered through the property. The area was very peaceful. Check in and out was very efficient. We would highly recommend this property.

Cute cabin in a good location
We needed a place for the weekend that was convenient to Blanco and this property met all our requirements. It is small but clean and in a great location tucked away off the highway along the river. It was quiet and the grounds are well kept and spacious. We would definitely stay here again.

Amazing cabin on the Blanco River
Such an excellent cabin and property! We had a momma and two baby deer visit us multiple times a day and loved watching the owls sit in the trees. I can’t say enough good things about the cabin…it is so quaint, beautiful, and very comfortable!! We will definitely be back, especially when the River has more water.

The property is absolutely beautiful. We loved sitting on the porch and listening to wildlife. Even though we were under an extreme drought, there was still enough water in the river for us to enjoy an evening dip. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful place!
This property was great! It is centrally located to lots of popular Hill Country locations. Downtown Blanco had some cute restaurants - highly recommend the Redbud Cafe. The property itself was clean & well stocked. The river was low but we still managed to hangout in the water. I can’t recommend this place enough! We will definitely stay again!

The house was clean, with plenty of room for our family of 3. The property is beautiful, we just wish there was a little more water in the river. We still managed to catch a bunch of perch and enjoy the river on the property, but it was just too shallow for swimming. Im sure after a little rain it will be back up to a better level. We would definitely visit again.

The Rock House is AMAZING!
What an amazing place! My wife and I booked a get away for ourselves. And we thoroughly enjoyed the Rock House! It is an old rock homestead structure on the banks of the Blanco river in a picturesque setting. We spent our mornings drinking coffee by the river while fishing a bit. We went into town for lunch at quaint downtown cafés and explored historic downtown Blanco. One night we prepared a delicious meal in the very nice and modern kitchen and outdoor grill. One night we drove into Gruene/New Braunfels and had a romantic dinner at the Gristmill River Restaurant! We were at the Rock House for four days and three nights, and never once had an urge to turn on the TV. We spent time on the river, we saw a couple of foxes and other wildlife also enjoying the well-maintained property. The hosts were super gracious and had everything prepared and ready. We were in need of nothing. Outside the cabin looks like a rustic haven, and the inside looks like it is straight out of a modern home magazine! Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we will book it again soon. There are also other rentals on the property. One is much larger and we may book for ourselves, our kids, and our grandkids! I do have one complaint though. The three cabins on the property are named, the Rock House, The Paper House, and the Main House. I think they missed a great opportunity to name the third house, the Scissor House! :-D

Everything about this property was so cute and perfect. We loved getting to use the kayaks, the kids had a great area to run and play, and they even had a swing (which my kids loved). Perfect place for a relaxing get away.

Charming and Comfortable cottage
I rented this cabin to get away from work and kids and have a little solo time to prepare for the new year. It was a lovely place. It was cold and rainy, so I stayed in the cabin a lot. It has a huge fireplace that I kept going the entire stay. Everything was clean and it had all the amenities for me to cook all of my meals. The owner was absolutely a joy to work with and checking and out was super simple. I have no complaints - I would definitely stay there again. The only downside, which didn't matter to me, was that the location does have a busy rode just on the other side of the river. So if total peace and quite is required, you would have to just keep that in mind. It's definitely a gem that I will return to.

Perfect stay
Could not have been better. The attention to detail was better than a 5 star hotel. Very comfortable beds, kitchens equipped with anything you could possibly need and in excellent condition, all updated electronics to include the TV with all stations so that we could watch college football and the baseball playoffs. Kayak and other river equipment was available to use and were in great shape. Soft water for showers was amazing and always had enough hot water with good water pressure for all 4 for us. Quality soap, shampoo etc. was provided. Towels were soft and there were plenty for all of us for at least a week. Was incredibly impressed with the speed and reliability of the Wifi. There are common areas to include a sitting area right off the river and a covered pavilion area with a bathroom, shower, washer/dryer and table with chairs. There is a well lite, beautifully maintained pathway to the river. It is located less than 50 yards away. Host Ruth has a heart of gold and her attention to detail is absolutely impeccable. She was extremely attentive without being intrusive in any way. The place is spotlessly clean!! The town area with a great variety of restaurants and are within a 5 minute drive. Breweries, wineries, distilleries, farmers markets, and needed amenities are are so close, you don’t even have to leave Blanco to enjoy them!!! The price to stay is incredibly reasonable. You receive a 5 star hotel stay for the price of a 2 star hotel. There is a gate with code before you enter the property. We felt extremely safe and secure. The host Ruth, her family and her beautiful cabin was a true blessing for my family and I and would recommend to anyone!

This property was absolutely beautiful. Located out in the country, peaceful and quiet, away from the hubbub of the touristy parts. Yet it was super close to Blanco, Dripping Springs and Wimberley. Property exactly as described but pictures don’t do it justice. Right on the river and lots of wildlife to watch. I have already given the link to four friends and family after I posted pics of it. The Blanco property was exactly as described and pictured. We stayed in the Rock House which was perfect for a couple or small family. There are other buildings on the property that can accommodate larger families. Even with the multiple units on the property, there was still a lot of privacy. One of the best parts of the property is the access to the Blanco River! If we are ever in the vicinity again we will definitely look for availability at this property.

We loved this beautiful rock cabin on the Blanco River. It had everything we needed and was beautifully furnished! We loved sitting out on the porch and watching the lightning bugs (fireflies) at night and sitting on the rock steps leading down to the river in the evening feeding fish and watching for deer. We would love to return to stay here again some day!

My husband & I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary & loved it! Great decor, shower, & spaces to sit & relax. The house had everything we needed. The bed was comfy, communication with the owner was easy, & the location to town was perfect! It rained & was a little chilly, but my husband still got to go fishing & we enjoyed the square in Blanco & the state park. It was relaxing, peaceful & enjoyable. We will be back!!

Great Building, a little noisy.
Great little house, extremely clean and updated. This section of the river runs a long a state hwy so it can be a little noisy. Also there are two other structures on property so you may not be the only people on site. Saw hawks, great horned owls, foxes, deer. Very close to town. Overall good stay.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The cabin was very clean and very well stocked. The owners seemed kind and were very communicative. My only compliant is that there was quite a bit of noise from the front porch as you can hear the cars on the road on the other side of the river, and the property next door was doing some rather loud construction/renovating while we were there. We were there during the week, maybe it doesn't happen on weekends but be aware that you may want to ask about this if it's something that would bother you. Otherwise we had a great time! Thank you!
