Wonderful mountain getaway

We stayed here with our kids (2 and 4), and it was wonderful for our family. The house is spacious and overall clean. The location of the house is perfect. It’s easy to get to, close to downtown Blue Ridge, but also secluded enough to be surrounded by nature. We loved spending our mornings on the balcony, because the view was amazing! The beds were comfy and the bathrooms were clean and well kept. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and the inside of the house was very clean. The screened in porch could benefit from a little extra cleaning, but it was nothing that deterred us from spending time out there. If you’re looking for a great house to enjoy the balance of being in nature and close to small town Blue Ridge, book it!

Perfect Fall Weekend

The cabin was everything we needed! Beautiful Mountain View and the little road up to the house provided an amazing fall scene. Beds were super comfortable and back porch was perfect for relaxing afternoons and dinner outside every night. We could hear the small creek below but the visibility was limited. We saw a group of wild turkeys settling in for the evening one night as well as a couple of deer. Great reset for the soul! We will be back!

Beautiful Get A Way

The property was everything it said it was in the advertisement. My party and I arrived at nite and was unfamiliar with the roads. My only suggestion is that there are more solar lights leading to the cabin. Other than that, the staff and everyone were professional and friendly!

Girls fall weekend getaway

We loved the cabin in the woods! It was super clean, beautifully decorated and spacious. Great location, since it’s tucked away up the hill, but just a short drive to town. It was the perfect place for a getaway from the Florida heat!

Power’s out

Overall we loved the cabin - it was super well stocked with everything you would need for cooking, etc. It was a beautiful view and such a great time. The reason for 3 stars is that during our stay, the power went out. This was not the fault of the owner and I totally understand that. They had supplied small flashlights but they didn’t do very much and there were no extra batteries to replace them when they died. The communicated well at the beginning of the power outage but didn’t really throughout the rest of the stay. We had this for 2 nights and only had power the first 12 hours of the stay. We made the most of it and enjoyed the games they had. Would like to try it again with power

Cute Cottage Responsive Property Management

We enjoyed our long weekend at Cottage in the Woods and would love to return! Highlights are sunrise views and really comfortable beds. The property management team was helpful and responsive to all our questions and requests.

Mountain View & River View!

We had an amazing time! We have stayed in Blue Ridge several times and have always struggled with choosing between a mountain view or water view......finding both is a rarity. This house has both! There is nothing quite like sitting on the porch, enjoying the mountain view, and listening to the sounds of the river. Breathtaking! I do wish the access to the river was easier. We were able to make it to the river; however, I doubt most people would be able to. It's a shame, because the river access is one of my favorite things about this home. About half of the trail is assisted with wood steps/landings, but the other half is not. It would be so helpful to have the entire path easily accessible so all guests could enjoy. Also, a few other suggestions. We were told to drive out of the way to the management office, a closed office on a Sunday, just to pick up the entry code. Pretty annoying, since the code could easily have been emailed to us. We also felt that the paper towels, soap, and toilet paper were pretty poor quality. I was surprised to see that in such a nice rental. We also needed to purchase more from the store, as we were not provided with enough for our stay. I also think that you should not have a tip envelope for the house cleaner. If someone chooses to leave a tip, that's fine, but to have an envelope out was pretty tacky. I've never seen that in a home rental before. Of course, I want to stress that these are not complaints, but rather suggestions. You can probably tell that I am very picky, and I would absolutely stay here again. I look for location, size, amenities, and most importantly cleanliness. This home scored 110% in all these areas! I LOVED the house! I even took a few pictures to recreate some of their designs at my home. Thank you for a lovely time! We will be back :)

Very nice house with some small details to fix

We recently staid at this house. The house is really nice and clean, 10 minutes from town and with easy access. We were a party of 4 adults and 3 kids and it was perfect with space for everyone. There is a creek that you can hike to. The outdoor screened deck it's great. We found a couple of issues, the bedroom upstairs has a really large window and there are no drapes, so you get sunlight very early in the morning, also that bedroom gets really hot and there is not enough air to cool it down. We found some mold on the shower curtains and the grill was full of grease so we had to clean it so it would not catch on fire every time we turn it on. We had an issue at check in , because we were getting in late at night, the property manager was supposed to leave at the office the check in package with the house address and code to get in the house but it wasn't there. We call the after hours phone number and they were able to solve the issue really fast. Over all it's a really nice house and at the end of the day we enjoyed it.

Valentines Weekend

Great Cabin!

This cabin was very roomy and great for our family of 6. Plenty of room for everyone to spread out and hang out. It was too chilly for us to enjoy the porches but I am sure they get a lot of use in the warmer months. The hike down to the creek is a bit of a workout but we had fun making our way down and back up again! We enjoyed exploring Ellijay and downtown Blie Ridge. The Apple orchard was great too! We would definitely recommend!

Perfect size for 7!

You cannot ask for a better location. 15 minutes max to downtown Blue Ridge and only a 10 minute drive to Mercier Orchards. Easy drive to the cabin. Loved every second! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

Clean updated cabin in the woods with relaxing screened in porch

We loved our weekend at this comfy cabin. We spent mornings sipping coffee on the screened in porch with view of creek and mountains. We had plenty of space. Beds were very comfy. Lovely open concept kitchen and living room. We can't wait to come back next year! Cabin was very close to downtown Blue Ridge and Mercier Apple Orchard.

Stress free, relaxing, serene

My husband and I came to the cabin for a weekend getaway and the only negative I would say about it is the fact we didn’t stay longer. Friday we went into Blue Ridge (super close to the cabin) and enjoyed a nice fire that night while we watched a movie. Saturday it rained all day so we took full advantage of the screened in porch, cooked food, caught up on some reading, played games. The sound of the rain and the creek below was extraordinary. Everything about our weekend was fabulous and it is the perfect cabin to escape the hustle and bustle of life, slow down and enjoy time with loved ones!

Fantastic views, cozy spaces, perfect family getaway!

We stayed here in May and the experience was great. Quiet, tucked away yet 10 minutes from stores and civilization though you quickly forget that once you arrive. The house was comfortable and clean, kitchen was by far the best stocked we have seen - ever. Good amount of room for kids to spread out and parents to relax while still under the same roof. Screened porch was beautiful and the string lights were a nice touch. We highly recommend this house!

Perfect stay in a perfect cottage

Our family of 7 (including a 10 month old baby) enjoyed our stay. Great proximity to Mercier Orchard and downtown Blue Ridge. The cottage is very well equipped with everything you might need. Including seasonings, cooking oils, and paper products. The owners even had a few personal items on hand for forgetful guests 😉 We loved our stay, and would love to visit again. Thank you!
