"The hotel is as the name indicated, in the center of old town. The location is fantastic. Very convenient. However, as some of the reviews had mentioned, they have live music in the lobby all day until 11pm. I was aware of this and requested that they give us a quiet room. However, we were given a room with windows facing the atrium and were subjected to the music all day. It was not too loud but was quite annoying if you want quietness. Add to this, it was on the 4th floor and next to one of the restaurant/bar and there were noises coming from it until late. The room was 426 so to other travelers, avoid this room. The bathroom shower was poorly designed and the floor was flooded after every shower. We had to use tons to towels to mop up the water. Not sure why we were given such a lousy room even though the hotel didn’t seem fully booked. The only reason I didn’t request for another room because my husband has unpacked all his stuffs and didn’t want to move. Are Expedia customers treated worse or something? The positives: the room was reasonably spacious. Beddings were comfortable. Roof top pool was nice although it is rather of small and it could use some fixing up. The staff was courteous and breakfast was decent. Had it not for the noisy room, it would have been a nice stay. For this reason, I don’t think we’ll stay here again in the future since noisy room is a deal breaker for me."

"The apartment was beautiful in the heart of Casco viejo. The three rooms are spacious and the balcony overlooking the street makes for great morning coffee. The beds were comfortable and the space was nice and clean. The owner was so attentive, we must’ve asked for ten different things during our stay and they came right away. Definitely felt more of a hotel."

"I had a number of issues that made my stay an unhappy one. However, when asked if I’d enjoyed my stay, the manager was truly interested in hearing about my experiences. He made me feel heard and appreciated my feedback and that meant the world to me. The hotel is lovely. The staff is accommodating. The breakfast menu was full of good choices. The location is picturesque. Amarla could be perfect if there were an anytime ”before noon”breakfast. This is vacationing after all and I really wanted to sleep in.😌"

"For the end of our family vacation we rented this property in Old Town Panama City and we couldn’t have been more pleased with it. We had 7 adults in our party and the apartment was plenty roomie for us. You can’t beat the location, it is central to all things old town and everything is within walking distance. Mauricio (the owner) was incredible with communication and very helpful with everything to make our vacation great. He even arranged ground transportation for us from our cruise ship in Colon to the VRBO and also to the airport the morning we departed, saving us money on transportation for seven of us with our luggage, thanks Mauricio for a wonderful stay! "
