Disappointing, Awful Beds, Poor Communication
The lower level of the home was under construction when we arrived. We were told by the property manager in October that all would be taken care prior to our arrival. We were not notified of the construction, we just walked into it on our arrival day. We were also asked by the property manager if the construction crew could work on the project while we were there. We thought this was odd, after all, we were on vacation and did not want strangers in the home while we were there.The mattresses in the house were absolutely awful. I had to sleep on the coach upstairs because of how uncomfortable it was. The linens and towels were not high end, especially for how much they charge for the house. The kitchen did not have the proper utensils one would expect - a pizza roller, ice cream scoop and not even an entire set of measuring cups. I also found dirty dishes in the pantry. The location of the house is fine, walking distance to the beach. However, it is a private beach and you will need a car to drive to the small entrance of the public beach which is down the street.We asked for a "fair, and mutual" refund due to the construction. Because this was not communicated to us prior to arrival, and the fact that we did ask upfront, we were disappointed in the response back from the owner. This property is WAY overpriced for the quality of the product. Would not recommend to a friend or stranger.
