Nature at its best

Cabin in the woods....fishing, hunting, ORV, hiking, snowmobile riding, cross country skiing, and the list goes on.

This is a year around cabin on 7 acres with 1000s of acres of federal land (Manistee National Forest) on 2 sides of the property. The cabin sleeps 7 comfortably, 1 bedroom has a queen bed, another bedroom has bunk bed with twin on top and a full on bottom, and the loft has another queen bed. The kitchen is open to the great room that has a pellet stove as a second source of heat for the home plus the cozy feel of a fire. There is a full bath on the main floor and a half bathroom in the loft. Washer/dryer is also available in the loft. This home also has a three season porches in front and a four season room in the back to enjoy during your stay. For additional sleeping there is a queen sleeper sofa in the four season room. Also in the living room there is a small couch that folds out to a bed if needed.

If you enjoy fishing, you will want to check out Pere Marquette River which is just down the road (Rainbow Rapids is one of many access points). The river is known for salmon, trout, rainbow trout and big brown. Kayaking or canoeing is also a fun way to enjoy the beautiful river.

Hiking through the woods is a wonderful way to enjoy the day. There is also a dog sled trail behind the cabin. You can also cross country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter.

If you like to ORV...the trailhead is on Sterns Road and near the cabin

The cabin is:
15 minutes to downtown Baldwin
30 minutes to Ludington
40 minutes from Caberfae Ski Resort
Close to 3 different launch locations on the Pere Marquette River

Gorgeous, quiet, peaceful woodland cabin! The cabin was clean, and stocked just as described in the listing. Loved breakfast in the screened front porch! Loved the quiet walks along the dirt road. Our stay was perfect. Close to all the beautiful hikes and Pere Marquette River. The beds were comfortable.AC worked great. The cabin has 2 family rooms which allows for you to spread out and enjoy! Kitchen had all the utensils and pans you need. We would love to stay again.

Everything was as listen and location was perfect. So peaceful and lots of land for kids to run around. Only complaint i have is the wall fan upstairs didnt work,but we made due. Also stove was dirty (with grease) and found clumps of dog hair all over. Which i just cleaned up. No biggie to me but might to othrs

Just what we needed to get away from everything. Close to River Access points and half hour to ludington. Lot is big and private, cabin had everything we needed.

Great Private Location for OHV

This is an excellent location if you're in the area for OHV riding. The home is in a remote location surrounded by woods. Easy check in and very clean. Three bedrooms with comfortable rooms. A bathroom on each floor. A sunroom that is a great spot to sit and relax and watch TV or eat a meal with the family. Kitchen, sitting area and living room all together, which is another place to watch TV. Furniture extremely comfortable. Propane grill for outdoor cooking. Fire pit on the property. OHV trails located a short ride down the road. No trailering needed. Very quiet and no neighbors in site. Bring bug spray, while mosquitos not a problem, lots of gnats. That's to be expected, you're in the forest. Over all, a great stay.

Cabin retreat

It's a cabin tucked in the cover of the woods. Definitely a discreet peacefully place to rest at. Hardly anyone is seen for hours. If you want to relax in peace and quiet this is the cabin to be at!!!

Peaceful Retreat

What a darling cabin surrounded by woods. Everything was comfortable and we felt at home, especially enjoyed the back porch! Very peaceful and away from every day noise. Lots of wildlife, even had a few deer visit. Spent the evenings by the fire, the cabin is a perfect place for star gazing since it's away from city lights. Would definitely stay again!
