You need to make sure you arrange to check in online if you’re arriving later. The reception says it’s open till 7 but we noticed they would leave early many days. Room was clean however there was no fan in the bathroom so it was very musty. There’s also no where to put your luggage or bags. No safe. Unfortunately we had a very bad experience with this Hotel. On checkin we were advised that our 2 bedroom Apartment was not available as "someone else wanted to extend their stay". Im not even sure how this could ever happen as we had already booked and paid for our accommodation and had arrived expecting what we had booked! We were then given two Hotel rooms, which after giving all our details they said there were not even on the same floor! We went into the second room and the fan in the bathroom was on and the bed covers were back and had been used! We then went to reception and requested our money back, which was done but this left us without accommodation for the night and we then had to find somewhere in a hurry. This was very unsatisfactory and was not the way we wanted to end our great trip to Australia. We would not recommend the Chermside Apartments at all.

When we first arrived we were pretty happy with our choice of accommodation, however, this place needs a lot of money spent on it. I, personally, witnessed 2 x complaints (although, minor) plus my mother’s room had a water leak in the kitchen. We went for a shopping weekend, and wanted quiet nights to recover! We had no working television for the first night and I’m pretty sure it hadn’t been working prior to our stay. I was told that someone would come and fix it the next day, but that was never going to happen. The following evening I requested a different room because I just wanted to chill out in front of the box, so luckily there was a vacant room, with a working television! Then I was looking forward to a good sleep and a sleep-in until having to check out….but there was no sleep-in the next morning because we got woken up to painters talking quite loudly literally right outside my bedroom on our balcony. That was the last straw for me. The cherry on top, so to speak. They really need to update their facilities. I think the new paint job is a waste, or at the very least, way too premature, the money could’ve been spent better, elsewhere first! Old tv’s in the rooms, 90’s furniture, appliances more than ready for retirement. 3 x good things: stones-throw distance to Westfield, the parking is good and next door have THE BEST Indian food we have ever eaten! I wish I could have written a better review.

Apartment was smelly, shower was dirty, you could tell a dirty cloth was used to wipe down surfaces as it left dust trails and balls of dust on bedside table. We left and went across the road to the Quest.

We paid for a 3 bedroom apartment and upon a late arrival we were given a 2 bedroom apartment with no reason why and no refund for the less expensive room! Very disappointed.

This place just got worse the more you looked. Open the door to the apartment the floors are dirty, open the fridge and rotten fruit still in there. Go to watch tv, no channels available due to no signal. But that’s ok we will just go for a swim, until we find clumps of hair in the pool. Tried to discuss with reception and they were just plan rude, finally got someone to try and sort the tv but they just put it on auto tune and said this will work and walked away. Auto tune didn’t work so off to reception again and got told no other rooms available ( fair enough ) and they can’t get tv fixed over the weekend but said we could just get a voucher to stay at another time and would need to vacate immediately. I would never stay here again. So declined the voucher. Went back to room to discuss with partner and decided to call Wotif to see our options. who then spoke to reception about these issues and they were promised they would get someone in to fix tv the next day. So they wouldn’t refund. We decided to stay and see what happens. Got back to room the next day after exploring Brisbane to find nothing had been done about the hair or the tv. This place will lie not just directly to your face but to the booking agents as well. Do yourself a favor and never ever stay here.

Our room had some form of liquid splattered up the wall, toe nail clippings on the patio and when I went to use a glass it had caked dried milk in the bottom of it. Mentioned to staff on departure wasn’t offered a discount. All you can smell is extreme curry as soon as you exit the lift. Parking spaces are very difficult to get in to.
