Great unit, Great Spot

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit 21, The Islander is a great spot for a family get away on Straddie. Lots of room, with a massive living area and comfy beds. A very handy location being a short walk to the beach, the pub, the Bowlo and a nice little cafe. We’ll definitely be back.

We loved the location close to cylinder beach, the spacious rooms, the amenities, it was very clean and easy to check in and out. The team at ray white was great when we locked ourselves out of the apartment and gave us another key straight away. We would stay there again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The inside of the apartment was really nice. Lots of space for your family or fronds. Lots of kitchenware for you to use. Surf board, body boards and even skate board as well as the table tennis gear for you to use. The cons: I was disappointed that there was no water in the pool when I arrived and no communication, but I did get reimbursed for that. The TV remote didn't work properly and it was missing kitchen amenities like tea, coffee, salt & pepper. We did get told about this but it's those little things that make the difference. Same with the bathroom amenities, none. There was cloths washing liquid which was handy.

Spacious apartment - We spent a few nights here and thoroughly enjoyed the short walk to the beach and quick drive to the local shops/food/sights at Point Lookout.

It was a very nice location, close to the main beach (2 mins drive) and perfect to walk around.The Property itself was far and beyond what we expected from the parking area and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking forward to having some holidays in Straddie.And yes!!! IT DOES HAVE WIFI!!! Even though it is not said on the ad page, nor in the information docs at the entrance, They have the password in the door of the fridge and the router in the main room.

Perfect location and the place was great for kids also with the downstairs games room and the resorts facilities. Room was stunning and had everything all we had to bring was our food and drinks. Reviewer Comments: It was a nice place to stay and it was nicely located near cylinder beach and Adder Rock. The bunk beads aren’t big enough for many adults.There was no toilet paper, hand soap, bath soap, laundry soap, nor dishwasher detergent / sponges. We had to go to Ray White to pick up some of these items, but most we had to purchase ourselves, which a person doesn’t typically pack in a suitcase, so be aware of that.It’s on the 3rd floor without a lift; so be prepared to carry bags up flights of stairs and for a bit of exercise.Overall though, we enjoyed it and had a good time. The bbq and patio were great (bbq was dirty and prone to grease fires though).Would be nice if someone took more ownership of the property and made sure there was soaps, clean bbq, things like that.

Check in was the only annoying thing as I was forced to sign up to yet another online site after booking through wotif, then the emails went to junk mail, which I appreciate might be a problem at my end but I feel something more personalised would have avoided this, compared to an automatic email. Then the woman at the block was understandably annoyed we needed her help but we couldn't get phone access otherwise.

Perfect Location

A fabulous unit with all you could want. A very, clean, quiet pool and a tennis court. A short stroll to the the magnificent Home Beach. We will definitely be back!

Great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment was well equipped and spacious, especially the kitchen. The location was excellent, just a short walk to the pub, shops and across the road from a great beach.
