Ideal family break

Great base from which to explore Bath, Bristol and the surrounding area. The property has all a family requires for a comfortable stay.

Great location

A well appointed and comfortable cottage on a working farm in a great location, not far from a park and ride site with a frequent bus service into Bath. Lots to see and do in the area. We had a hiccup on our first morning when we could get no hot water for our showers, but the friendly owners offered help immediately and were able to sort out the problem very quickly for us, so we would have no hesitation in recommending this property.

Perfect for family getaway, the barn feels so much bigger then the pictures show, really clean and tidy and lovely touches with milk bread and cake awaiting our arrival, would recommended

Comfortable and homely place to hang out

This is a really well furnished and cosy unit ideal for a group or family to spend time together. Loved the wood stove and excellently equipped kitchen. Hosts were very friendly and helpful.

Peaceful, comfortable and relaxing

We had a very happy week in the Old Stables. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful and were happy to show our granddaughter the horses and other animals on the farm which she loved. The location was great - near Bath and Bristol - and we also visited Westonbirt Arboretum which is not far away. The house was just right, spacious, warm and comfortable and very well equipped.

Comfortable, Clean and well appointed

The house was exactly as shown on the website. We appreciated the large entrance lobby with plenty of space for outdoor coats and shoes. House was warm, clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Good sized fridge/freezer, efficient oven, dishwasher and plenty of crockery. Good location for Bath and Bristol. We used the park and rides for both locations and were very impressed with both. Highly recommend Old Stables

Very well equipped property and peaceful location

We were visiting our two grandchildren, energetic boys aged 11 and 8, and were extremely grateful to have the Old Stables to retreat to and recharge our batteries for the next days activities!! The property has everything that you would wish for in a holiday let, and is very spacious and clean. Underfloor heating meant it was warm and welcoming in the evening so we could relax in comfort. Comfortable beds meant an excellent night's sleep (much needed!!). Excellent location, close to both Bath and Bristol, with Longleat about an hour away - all of which were visited and enjoyed. We would certainly recommend this property.

Peaceful retreat outside Bath

The property has beautiful rural views, is very comfortable, well kitted out and clean. It is spacious with parking for 3 cars and a small garden with patio. The outside area is not enclosed and is within a small working farm with lots of activity with horses and a tractor or two. The small field adjacent to the patio contained some sheep whilst we were there. It is on the Cotswold Way with lots of walking from the property and a wonderful small nursery called Special Plants just down the lane which I would recommend.

Lovely accommodation

Accommodation is spacious and modern. Very clean. As declared it is a converted barn located on the edge of the farm yard. Hosts very friendly, milk, cookies and vegetable crisps supplied.The cow sheds are near and the cows are vocal early. Thoroughly enjoyed the property, had everything we needed.

Family weekend for the girls

Really lovely pre-Christmas weekend with my sister and our two adult daughters. Brilliant location, less than 20 minutes easy drive into Bath, yet felt like we were out in the countryside at Old Stables with its livery yard and working farm. Easy check-in and out via key in lockbox, all worked well, welcome milk, wine and mince pies and a plentiful supply of tea, coffee and sugar in the kitchen - everything we needed for our short stay. Friendly but unobtrusive hosts, available via mobile if needed, living on site and kindly offering a tour of the livery yard and farm - but we had a full weekend planned so didn’t take this up! Log burner made us feel very Christmassy, although we had to get firelighters and kindling when we were out so couldn’t use it until the Saturday evening - perhaps we just couldn’t find them, though, and it wasn’t a big enough deal for us to bother the hosts with a Friday night call. Books, games and jigsaws provided for adults and children. Pillows were very hard but some of us had taken our own anyway, based on years of experience! Easy booking and then subsequent information via a guest portal, along with hard copy on arrival. Perfect for our weekend treat, thank you
