The Penny House: CLEAN with garage, one block from trails & stores
- Cozy 3 bedroom, 1 bath house completely remodeled top to bottom with all amenities you would need. Bedroom 1 has a queen bed in the lower level of the house, bedroom 2 is a full size bed in the upper level of the house, and bedroom 3 has 2 twin beds in the upper level of the house. The house has two air conditioning units (Seasonal). Fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer. One car long garage to park vehicles, ATVs, snowmobiles and water crafts. The garage is especially useful in the event of unexpected mechanical issues where working indoors will keep you out of the elements. The house is near 585 miles of ATV trails, 3000 miles of snowmobile trails, 30-45 minutes from multiple ski hills, Porcupine Mountain National Park, Bond Falls, Agate Falls, and hiking trails. The house is a block away from the snowmobile and ATV trails, grocery store, gas station, restaurants and bars.

Our snowmobile trip was so nice because of the Penny House! Both driveways are deep enough for trucks and trailers with ramps. The garage was useful for grilling and sleds if the need arises. One block from the trail that skirts the highway. The house is bright and fresh. The hostess was wonderful, and very responsive with messages. Would recommend to anyone visiting the U.P.

Great place to stay! The garage would be really nice to use in the winter snowmobiling or working on anything really. It was nice to have dry wood available to have a bonfire. The house was very clean and neat with plenty of room to park a truck and trailer. Only thing you need to be aware of is that it is on the highway and you cannot legally ride a SxS the 1/8th of a mile to the trail per the county sheriff. We trailered to the co-op 1/4 mile down the road which was easy enough. Lots of people just roll the dice, but we didn't want to take any chances. Would definitely stay here again.

Great little house for 2 couples. So close to the trail and gas for our SxS trip. Had plenty of parking area for our truck and trailer, we even got to see the northern lights! Sandy was great with communicating we would definitely stay again!

House was exactly as advertised, clean and comfortable and with everything you need. Sandy was responsive and helpful and I’d recommend staying here to anyone. It’s a good base for the Ottawa National Forest as well as the Porcupines.

Great house that was the perfect size for our family (2 adults, 1 teen, 1 kid). Conveniently and centrally located in the western UP. Loved it!Note: A/C is 2 window units on the first floor. Worked great for a house this size. Fans were provided for upstairs bedrooms.
