"This is an amazing gem of a hotel. It is extremely chic. The staff are so friendly and the food and booze are next level. Not for kids this is really a couples hotel. "

"We had a great time staying here while exploring Hakone. This place is located close to bus routes that took us to and back from Gora, while being in a quiet street perfect for relaxing at night.
The two attendants at the main counter were extremely helpful and nice, and tried their best to accommodate to our requests."

"Traditional ryokan in for the night was lovely! Room was very traditional and staff were polite. We had breakfast and dinner which was interestin. The views and private onsen were lovely and I felt very relaxed there. Only improvements would be to allow luggage storage/transport to station and cleaner onsen. "

"This was an amazing option to stay at for two nights. We could drop our bags, do the Hakone Gora loop clockwise with a bus stop 1 min from the door, with delicious sushi and a convenience store nearby too (for breakfeast options). Having the the Open Air Museum and a train stop nearby was perfect. The place itself was tidy, warm, had all the essentials we needed, plus a generously sized bathtub (with TV) to relax after completing the loop. The views were beautiful too."

"This was our first trip to Hakone, so we can’t compare this hotel’s location to other areas, but we absolutely loved the peaceful atmosphere here. It’s perfect for anyone looking for quiet, rest, and truly attentive service. Our room with three beds was very spacious, comfortable, and had a beautiful view.
We enjoyed early walks by the lake and appreciated the convenience of having both dinner and breakfast on-site. We chose the Japanese dinner, which was presented beautifully, though we probably haven’t fully acquired the taste yet. The French breakfast, however, was excellent; the French toast was the best we’ve had, and the coffee was great as well. We were also lucky to catch a wonderful view of Mt. Fuji.
We didn’t use the onsen since it was public-only and we weren’t comfortable with that, but everything else made our stay very enjoyable. We rented a car, which made exploring the area simple, though it seems manageable by public transportation too, since the hotel runs a shuttle every 20 minutes (with an evening cutoff). The hotel is a bit older, but everything was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Overall, a very relaxing and memorable stay."
"This hotel was WOW! We went to Japan and stayed at 4 different hotels and this one was my favorite one. Service was a 100000/10 food was great, views were unbelievable amazing. Keep in mind this hotel is located on a rural area so you are about 20 min away from the little town and everything closes at 8. Meaning you are unable to get into public transportation or taxi after that time. We had to walk 30 min to get back to the hotel. Nothing major, you really don’t hav to leave this hotel because it is stunning
"
"The hotel facilities are very traditional and well kept, our room was amazing from the awesome lake view to the nice tatami floors. The staff was very helpful and they provided support in both Japanese and English with ease. The kaiseki style dinner is a must, as it is an entire experience of delicious and elevated Japanese dishes with Western influences, we were left satisfied physically and mentally. Please remember that you need to book the kaiseki with the half-board additional option if your stay is short, in our case we only stayed one night and we had to add it. Even if you stay for one night you can enjoy the different onsen options they have available which is one of the key assets, just get in your yukatas relax and enjoy."
