Jewel of the Canal

This is a 1400 square house in a vibrant community full of DIVERSITY, you can just leave you car and walk to the restaurant (four in between walking distance , the roost (upscale) Sports city pizza and santasieros (old time Italian) Taqueria Ranchos (Mexican) just five minutes from the peace bridge and the highway, you can also just walk to Rich’s Catering if your venue is there .

This is a whole house just for you and your family or friends , lt does include backyard, deck and driveway to park

The property owner was incredibly accommodating to our needs. The place was perfectly centrally located for our needs as well. To be 100% transparent, the TV in the family room wasn’t the best and the pillows were just not good, but it didn’t detract from our stay. I would suggest the owner get some new pillows though. Overall I truly enjoyed it!

The kitchen dishes were not clean. There were bugs on counter by frig. A second tv in master bedroom would have been idea. Bathrooms clean, adequate towels. Pillows need replacing. Too flat and uncomfortable.

Great spot, big yard for dog, minor glitches

Very convenient for a visit with our son as none of us had yet been to the waterfront area. We really enjoyed having the Mint Mojito Bar around the corner, Tim Hortons a few blocks away, and the short walk to Freedom Park, site of the ferry used by the Underground Railroad to take people to Canada who were fleeing slavery. We enjoyed walking on the path along the quay that separates the canal from the river and got to see the drawbridge open for two sail boats. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog and the yard, although you have to access the yard from the outside and the grass was very high. Had to pick up some trash in front of the house, would have been nice if it had been a little neater. House is minimally furnished, but perfect for our needs and less things for the dog to mess with. Wasn't sure how to use the TV, but we brought a HDMI cable and connected to our laptop for streaming services. The house was cold when we got there (54F) and the heat coming on triggered the smoke detector. Owners responded to questions immediately, had to increase temp gradually to avoid that, suggest turning it on ahead of time for guests. The house felt damp, there was condensation on the glass in the door, not sure if heat/AC had been on for a while. Kitchen supplies: Good spice selection and pots/pans, missing some key items that we had to buy like bottle opener and aluminum foil. Appliances all worked. Neighborhood is nice for dog walks, off street parking really helpful.

Family weekend in Buffalo

We had a great stay in Buffalo. Joaquin was very prompt and accommodating to reply to any questions. We had an isolated issue with cleaning that Joaquin personally came to the house to remediate. Which was very nice and thoughtful. Much appreciated.

Great location to explore the area!

The location offered east access to the falls, Peace Bridge, Whirlpool State Park, & downtown; plus walking distance to Unity Island, where we stretched our legs and enjoyed the waterfront after a long drive. Property was clean and comfortable; an oasis after each day of sightseeing.
