Cozy cottage in a quiet location and wonderful views

"The farmhouse at Bad Gastein was a wonderful location for peace and tranquility, while at the same time near to a vibrant and very interesting town. Perfectly located just out of town. Beautifully and sympathetically renovated. The many balconies offer spectacular views across the valley. Many hours spent sitting (with a coffee in the morning and a beer in the evening) watching the changing scenes and colours throughout the day. It was great to meet our hosts when we arrived, who clearly explained everything to us for a comfortable holiday. Communication with Alex before, during, and after our stay was excellent. Just 50 or so meters from the house was the lovely promenade through the forest (illuminated at night) which led into the town.The town of Bad Gastein offered lots of options for walking, including a trip up in the cable car on one side of the valley, and the chair lift in the other side. Another highlight was the short drive to Sportgastein for beautiful walks in mountain scenery, with lots of options for eating. The house itself was well maintained and clean and had plenty of space for our family of five. Some of my heart is still there, as we found it like a home from home."

"Very beautiful, though very crowded place. The hotel has had some renovations and it is very big.Food they serve is fresh, tasty,and wonderful.The staff are pleasant and English speaking! Location is close to attractions and the views are unforgettable. Too much chlorine in the swimming pool to take a plunge. Drinking water is wonderful.Overall-amazing!"

"A very nice hotel in a beautiful location. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was very good indeed. Our only complaint was that the room was rather small and hot, but we will choose a bigger room next time"

"We had a fantastic few days staying at the Hotel Alpenblick. The views are spectacular. Every day you wake up and think you’re in a magical place. And it felt even more magical because of the superb staff Claudia the boss is full of tips on things to do, v kind understanding. While the bar and waiting staff are incredibly polite and attentive - nothing is beyond them. The facilities are top notch. The swimming pool is amazing - again - another view to die for. The water is warm so if it is a cold or sunny day, you can always dip in. The sauna and steam rooms are wonderfully clean and a lovely relief after a day’s hiking. There is also secluded areas in the garden to read or chill out. We would’ve loved to stay longer and def will return This places. A hidden gem. Enjoy."

"Room was great and the cleaning staff were wonderful. Be aware that this is not the mother property and in order to check in and check out, you have to go to a different hotel down the street. There is almost no front desk staff at this location ever. The breakfast (in the mother hotel) is wonderful!"
