“We stayed in a "POD" located in the ground. The pod was well appointed with good decor. The kitchen area contained a fridge, dishwasher, oven and hob, complete with crockery, cooking utensils and cutlery all you need for a comfortable stay. The shower room was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable too. The restaurant provided a good menu at reasonable prices.”

“Hotel very clean . Staff helpful. Breakfast brilliant. Only downside to this hotel is not enough parking for the rooms . For one night stay ended up paying £18 for parking car in other car parks”

“The lodge and location was outstanding. Situated on Heron Lakes looking across one of the 6 lakes on site with stunning views. Great location to get to the coast and plenty to do on site with walked, bike trails and of course fishing! Great short break away and will be staying here again. “The place was nice the house was excellent clean tidy and the host was so helpful we enjoyed it there we were 12 people and was best trip for us the shops coop and beach and Tesco were nearby and taxi private were so nice would I go again yes most definitely would I recommend it yes highly thanks”

“The owners greeted me on arrival at this lovely guesthouse and showed me to my room. The bed was very comfortable. It is an old building so quirky room sizes but beautifully renovated and maintained. Good shower clean bathroom. Great home cooked breakfast. I would definitely stay again”

“Sadly, this was a bad experience. I booked via Expedia where the hotel was advertising a Michelin trained chef and a restaurant. I travelled solo 145 miles for a two night break purely because of this. Upon arrival, I was disappointed to learn the restaurant closed last year. I expressed this disappointment in very civil tones, explaining this was the only reason for my visit. I asked the owner Stacie if I could therefore cancel my second night and obtain a partial refund for it. Stacie agreed……

“Property was exceptionally clean modern well equipped. Nice little touches of milk bread spread and bottles of wine for arrival. No issues at all with the property it was lovely. The only issue was with the pub next door, which when we spoke to the host the next day he dealt with straight away. Parking instructions weren’t communicated. Access to property is via the pub car park.”

“Cottage was perfectly located and well equipped albeit small for the price. Bathroom great, cosy lounge and well equipped kitchen. Couple of areas needed redecorating. But communication was non existent. Contacted host twice without reply on day of arrival to get the passcode for the keys. Also phone number was for Sykes cottages which was closed. Ended up knocking on doors nearby and finally got to the right person.”
