Tiny bugs everywhere & Terrible host communication

My stay was awful. -There were tiny bugs/ants on the bed and on the kitchen counter. -The elements on the stove were not working. A portable electric element was placed there as a replacement. I was not notified about this issue and the VRBO pics did not show this. -The oven is so close to the side cupboards that the oven door could not open because the cupboard/drawer knob prevented it from opening. -Rusty soap dish, clogged shower head and a toilet that won’t stop running. -There is a big, dirty, old planter full of old dirt with no plant in it in the living room?? More bugs?? This place needs to be gutted and renovated. Just yuck. I wish I could add photos and videos to this review. ***In regards to Peter, the host…don’t expect any quick responses. For 2 months, I made numerous requests via the VRBO app and directly to the host (voice messages, inbox messages) to extend my stay for one extra day. I received no response until a few days before my arrival. Naturally, I had to book elsewhere for the extra day. I lost the deposit on that other place and Peter (host) only offered a $19 discount for the extra night and my troubles. Pathetic. Avoid this rental at all costs. Unless you are into dirty, bug infested, run-down, unkept 70’s’s look.

Cabo Bello

I was traveling with my husband and best friend for 45 birthday. My reservation got messed up so I was not able to stay at exact condo, but owner scrambled and found me another condo just below. So I cannot tell you about condo, but I can tell you about property. Califia Plaza is amazing and manager Marianna is the best! Condo is right next to adult pool and BBQ area. Pool is not heated, but still swimable in December. Walk through gate and down long spiral staircase to have beautiful beach access. Bring snorkel gear in early morning for a fantastic clear views of corral and fish. It gets murky in the afternoon. Beach is semi private, Maybe 10-15 people at beach each day. The resort next door is welcoming. Get your beverages there. Happy hour from 2pm-3pm daily 2 for 1. They also have an infinity pool that seems to fall right into the ocean. Great whale watching views. Resort restaurant has Monday-Thursday themed buffet dinner and shows. Food is good.
