You won’t find a more attentive and available host on VRBO. Belitis and the entire staff (yes this property is fully staffed with property cleaning inside and out) are fantastic. The house is very clean and the layout is phenomenal. Multiple patios and sanctuaries throughout. The views are breathtaking from every angle. Great property.

Wonderful family vacation at this spectacular property
What got our attention initially was the pictures of the gorgeous house with the infinity pool and the ocean views, but what really finalized our plan was the hospitality shown by the property manager Bilitis. She was warm and responsive (even when she was away on another continent). Her onsite staff were sweet and attentive even though we could only communicate through Google translate. We hope we can return to Villa Fugata, or the bigger property next door (served by the same team) with our extended family.

Above and Beyond
Wow! Just wow! My daughter cried when she entered this incredible home. The views literally took my breath away. For those that enjoy cooking, the kitchen is well stocked. I could hardly bare the excitement of waking up in Villa Fugata. Bilitis is a top notch, A+ host. She had every detail of our trip meticulously scheduled….fishing, early in the morning with the driver picking up right on time, yoga with Wendy on the deck overlooking the ocean and horseback riding on the beach. This trip was truly exhilarating. We lounged by the pool, read books had some great lunches and dinners, watched the magnificent sunsets, took dips in the pool at night and slept very well. Benjamin, the pool guy, was so friendly and went out of his way to show us around the property. The daily cleaning crew would slip in and out everyday to make beds and tidy up the house. We never even saw them. The whole stay was outstanding. This was hospitality at it’s finest. We would not change one thing. Thank you for sharing this beautiful home with us and making our trip seamless. One piece of advice I might add is to leave the inside stairwell lights on at night. The steps leading to the 2nd floor can be a bit tricky to navigate. Hope to be back very soon! Pura Vida!

Beautiful unit with the best view
We had a wonderful time at this gorgeous rental. It’s as beautiful as in the photos with the most amazing views. We will definitely be back. It’s set at the top of the hill so while you can walk down to a few restaurants- you’ll need a car or a golf cart at least.

Wonderful Stay!
This house and property do not disappoint! The views are beyond beautiful and the pictures do not do it justice. It's a paradise! I miss the view, especially from the pool. It's very private, roomy, comfortable, clean and quiet. They really take care of the property with daily cleaning of the house and pool. They assisted with our laundry so we could enjoy all our vacation time. The owner/ manager (Billits) was WONDERFUL and very responsive. She gave us GREAT recommendations on personal chefs, restaurants and activities. I would highly recommend this property and would for sure go back! Costa Rica is beautiful!

Trip of a lifetime!!
We spent Thanksgiving at Casa Frisons and Villa Fugata with 16 people, ranging in age from 7-70. Three generations who all agree that it was the trip of a lifetime with memories we will never forget, thanks to Bilitis. Both houses were spectacular with views you typically only dream about. Every afternoon we gathered around 3pm to start to watch the sunset, which was a highlight that we looked forward to everyday. Planning for 16 is no easy task, but Bilitis was very fast to respond with great recommendations every step of the way. She ensured we had the best chefs, activities planned, transportation, and more. She was there to greet us and give us a tour when we arrived and was also there at departure to send us on our way. Benjamin was wonderful along with the rest of the staff. We felt very safe and taken care of by all. We cannot wait to return to Casa Frison and Villa Fugata. Thank you Bilitis!

Amazing stay at Villa Fugata
We were delighted from the moment we arrived. We were greeted by breathtaking views across the ocean with the mountains and beaches all around. The infinity edge pool was perfect for a morning swim and afternoon & evening dips. We were 2 couples traveling together. The set up was perfect. The decor was lovely. The location was terrific - close to beaches, restaurants, markets and shops. We all would highly recommend.

Absolutely Magical!
Villa Fugata is stunning. The view is so incredible. Bilitis was a fabulous host and was such a big help in booking a private chef for the day of our anniversary and a couples massage. Johnny picked us up from Liberia and it was seamless. Waiting for us was a bottle of bubbly. So sweet! Hubby birthday was made special from Bilitis and crew also! The best VRBO we have been to. The cleaning company who come every day and Ben who took care of the pool were awesome! Such a treat! We were lucky enough to see a whale go right past the villa! Bilitis organized a golf cart for us and we got to try many restaurants, Patagonia Del Mar in Brasilito was the best! Book this stunning Villa truly a slice of paradise. I will miss it and the beautiful view!!!!! 💕💕💕

Excellent Stay!
We had a wonderful stay at Villa Fugata. Bilitis is an exceptional host and really knows how to make your vacation exceptional. She helped book all our excursions and was always available for any information we needed. Her staff was friendly and hospitable but gave us the privacy we wanted while keeping the house clean and our clothes washed. We will definitely visit again. We wish she had more homes around the world to visit. Such an amazing vacation.

best trip ever!
This was our 2nd time @ this rental and it did not disappoint. Last year we took a taxi from the airport and rented the golf cart. This time we rented a car AND the golf cart. Between the time the plane landed and leaving in our car to Playa Flamingo was -45 minutes. I had looked at Sentido Norte last year but we didn't go. With the car, its 15 minutes there and SO worth it! We had breakfast there twice and they let you lounge about however you want and take in the gorgeous view. Go 1/2 a mile past Sentido Norte to Las Catalinas (BEAUTIFUL!) the road dead ends into the parking lot for the beach ($4) and it is SO nice for leisurely wading, the water is calm and you can see your feet. The little town is like a giant boutique hotel, shops, nice public bathrooms and outdoor showers, and delicious restaurants. Celeste is very good and it's breezy and shaded and the service is great. Hazel's at the marina is also VERY good. It's a little upscale but it's completely indoors with a beautiful marina view, no wind, no bugs, and A/C! Last year we had the house stocked and then realized it was all in the market at the bottom of the hill (liquor and everything) so, this time we made it easy. The golf cart ride down the hill is SO fun sometimes we would do it twice in a row. One night we came home to 2 raccoons in the pool but they scampered off quickly. The upstairs patio is great for stargazing. I highly recommend booking this place immediately!

Slice of Heaven
Villa Fugata is a dreamy getaway. We never even went to the beach, no need. The photos are completely accurate. This property is impeccable and so are the caretakers. Daily cleaning of the home, garden, and pool was an unexpected highlight of my trip that gave me the chance to enjoy the setting as much as my family. The views are breathtaking and the sunsets are on a league of their own. Bilitis was an amazing concierge. Everything was taken care for us. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you to the whole staff. If you rent this property, you get all the benefits of this unique house as well as the careful attention of Bilitis. She was so kind and helpful in offering suggestions as I planned an itinerary for our family of 4--we were celebrating the recent college graduation of one of our daughters. After deciding upon a schedule for the week, Bilitis booked our excursions (ATV/zipline tour; horseback riding on the beach; a day trip to Tenorio via a sloth tour at Spring Paradise; a sunset catamaran snorkeling/paddle boarding/dinner cruise; and surf lessons at Playa Grande) as well as the necessary transportation for longer distances all with companies/individuals whom she knows--it felt like there was a team in place to tend to all the details--we just had to show up! It was always a treat to return to Villa Fugata at the end of the day--to a stack of clean laundry, made beds, and washed dishes! We could rest from the day's activities and enjoy sunsets from the pool and read from the deck. We had a fairly active vacation--wanting to experience this part of Costa Rica as we had never visited before, but Villa Fugata is also a destination in itself--especially if you just needed time to rest and relax in a beautiful, serene location. It would be easy to maximize time at the house and explore the nearby area. Use of a golf cart will get you to a variety of restaurants, a few beaches, as well as a couple markets. Bilitis will work with you to make your trip what you want it to be. She did exactly that for us, and we are so grateful! Thank you Bilitis!

Honeymoon
My wife and I had a destination wedding in Costa Rica and stayed for another week for our honeymoon in this property. The house is beautiful and the sunset views are even better! We spent most of our time in the pool and then watching movies on Netflix on the TV after the sunset. The AC is great and throughout the house. Location is perfect too because Tamarindo is an easy day trip. We also made a day trip to La Leona waterfall which was incredible as well. Food in the area is fantastic! We weren’t expecting it to be a little foodie area so we were pleasantly surprised. We loved Doki, Surfbox, Coco Loco, and Nita’s. Cleaning staff and property manager were also extremely attentive and helpful during our stay. They even left us a bottle of champagne on ice when we arrived near sunset on the first day of our honeymoon. It was a very thoughtful touch! Will absolutely be back if we visit Costa Rica again.

Everything about Villa Fugata is perfect! Views and sunsets are incredible!
Incredibly grateful for Villa Fugata! We booked a last minute trip (4 days). Bilitis reached out within minutes of booking to let us know she was there for us to help with anything. She had transportation from the airport to the Villa booked w/ a private driver (loved Johnny) & confirmed a golf cart would be waiting at the villa. We immediately felt safe & knew we were in good hands for our family vacation. We felt like we already had a friend in Costa Rica! My son 27, daughter 25 and I absolutely loved the vibe… modern & authentic design, spacious & clean.. amazing views from everywhere, stocked kitchen, barbecue, towels, beach chairs, cooler, umbrella, AC, ceiling fans, comfortable beds/bedding & bedrooms have AC &fans…we all slept great!!! We absolutely loved the infinity pool, it’s so private, clean, refreshing w/ a perfect amount of sun/ shade…& the views!!! We were in awe every day! The peaceful sounds of waves & nature. It’s truly magical! We loved spending mornings on the upper terrace for breakfast, coffee, mimosa, reading, yoga, just relaxing listening & watching birds.It was a toss up between the terrace & infinity pool for the breathtaking sunsets… was the hardest decision on our vacation lol. We streamed a Toronto maple leaf game and watched the sunset at the same time from the living room!! great wifi! The location is perfect at the tip of a peninsula, nearby homes so you don’t feel isolated but very private & it’s only a 5 min ride to a beautiful marina, shops, markets, beaches/beach front pubs (coco loco a favourite) we didn’t feel the need for a car, the cart was fun and and all we needed. My son & daughter took solo trips for groceries, beer or iced coffees/croissants at the marina. they had fun and felt safe. oh and Bilitis? she makes everything perfect! She responds quickly and took care of everything while we spent every minute enjoying our vacation! We never once felt alone but we had ultimate privacy!! She is kind, sweet & ready to help at all times. We wanted to enjoy every moment at the villa but we had her set up a deep sea fishing day (amazing) & a personal chef one night (amazing). Came back from the beach to champagne & flowers on my birthday! ty xo Daily cleaning staff, inside and out (friendly & discreet) Couldn’t get any better!. We are beyond grateful for the opportunity to embrace the little pink house in paradise! Look no further, just book it… trust me. Thank you Villa Fugata.. you have our hearts

Incredible sunsets!
Elevated above the surf and the activity of the beaches, Villa Fugata is a relaxing oasis providing everything for extreme relaxation including stellar sunsets every night. We wanted for nothing, every luxurious detail was carefully considered. The host was the absolute best, attentive and informative. We felt like we were staying at a friends place. My 11 year old son had a blast in the pool. We were able to watch UConn win and the Wi-Fi was strong. We would return in a heartbeat.

We had an amazing stay celebrating my husbands 50th birthday. Bilitis was amazing to work with and went above and beyond with any information we needed, even helped us set up car rental and golf cart rental. Best Vacation Rental Ever!!
This was by far the best vacation rental... ever. So many times, when we rent a property for vacation, i just find myself doing the same things I do at home - cooking, dishes, laundry - in closer proximity to the ocean or mountains or wherever we are vacationing. Not so with Villa Fugata!! Daily cleaning, laundry and the beautiful house, pool and location made for a truly restful vacation. Thank you! We will definitely be back!

Amazing stay❤️
This truly was a trip of a lifetime!!! My Sister turned 50 so we planned a big celebration and were looking for a place that checked all the boxes and this place did that and more! This was a ladies trip and none of us have travelled outside of our country where WE were in charge of the details but Bilitis was so helpful with any questions we had and we felt so safe at her place and the surrounding area. We were so impressed with the friendliness and care for our well being that all the locals exhibited! One of our favorite spots was just down the hill from the villa ‘Nalu’ traditional Belgium waffles, delicious iced coffees and more. We also enjoyed massages and a local chef preparing food for us. Bilitis arranged all of this for us! We rented a golf cart and it was the perfect transportation to get around and take in the amazing views as we drive in the open air. The views you experience at the villa are truly breath taking. My 2 favorite times was early in the morning watching all the different birds etc all while taking in the view of the water and mountains, and then watching the sunset over the water. If you are debating about renting this particular villa, do it! You won’t regret it.

Amazing Villa !
We really enjoyed our stay at this villa . The views are just spectacular ! We would highly recommend it . The kitchen has everything you need if you decide to cook yourself a dinner and enjoy the view or Bilitis recommended chefs were all amazing as well . Make sure to take advantage of in villa massages with that view you will feel in heaven . Celine and Bilitis were always very responsive to any questions we had. Villa’s staff does a great job at keeping it all very clean every day . We had a great stay ! Thank you !

Holiday in Paradise
We have stayed in multiple homes in Costa Rica and Villa Fugata was absolute perfection. We visit Costa Rica every December and Villa Fugata stands out as the best of the best. The home was the perfect fit for our family (2 adults, 2 kids ages 10,12). This wonderful home sits on a cliff with unobstructed gorgeous views of the ocean. The huge porches and floor to ceiling windows gave us views of amazing sunsets.. The pool overlooks the ocean and is just a step from the house. The house was well stocked with everything we needed. We rented a golf cart so we had easy access to the nearby market, a delicious local taco restaurant, and an amazing beach. The house and pool were cleaned daily (by very kind staff) which allowed us to just enjoy our visit. The host went above and beyond to ensure our stay was stress free and relaxing. She was always quick to respond to questions and helped to arrange last minute excursions and transportation. We needed assistance on Christmas Day and she was kind, patient, and took time to help us find a pharmacy. If you consider a visit to the region we highly recommend Villa Fugata. We will be back to this pink house in paradise.

Incredible Views!
We stayed at the property for the last 3 days of our honeymoon. The views from the first and second floor decks, and the pool on the first floor were absolutely incredible. We loved the indoor space as well and the A/C kept the individual rooms cool. A couple quick notes: In the primary bedroom, the wind tends to make a rattling sound on the glass, which woke up my wife during the night, and as you are in a natural area, there are a lot of birds, which let to some pungent smells in the heat of the day from the bird droppings.

I regret that you did not think to inform us about the moving window, yet we corresponded every day for your request for Chef service or massages, we could have solved the problem, I am sorry for that. On the other hand the comment about the bird is surprising and not at all real. There are birds everywhere in Costa Rica and it doesn't smell bad and in addition at Villa Fugata there is 7/7 day cleaning of the swimming pool and exteriors. The villa certainly has imperfections but there is no smell of bird poo. Best wishes in 2023

A Wonderful Stay!
I stayed for 4 nights at this home with my husband and 2 kids. We had so much fun, the pool bring right outside the door is perfect. The house was clean, and stocked with everything you could need (and more). If you are considering staying here, just do it! You won’t regret the decision! If the opportunity arises, we will definitely stay with Bilitis again.

Our best VRBO stay ever!
This property is nothing short of exceptional! It is the perfect location nestled into the hilltops over looking the ocean! We saw whales right in front of the the villa, the view was incredible, the pool was perfect and luxurious and the maids were so friendly and helpful! Amazing experience!

Just Wow!
We have travelled to many places but this is the first property that far exceeded our expectations. The pictures in this listing are accurate but they cannot possibly express the feeling you have when you walk in the front door. It is amazing. Furthermore, and the most important to us, was the host, Bilitis, and her staff were attentive, discreet, and kind. It felt like we had our own personal concierge with Bilitis. She took care of arranging all our needs - golf cart, masseurs, and chefs. This property and the host were fantastic. Everyone in the guest book wrote they would be back. I believe them. We will too. Breathtaking!
My partner and I had been watching this VRBO for over two years. Always staying in Papagayo, this was out seventh time to Costa Rica, we bit the bullet and moved outside our comfort zone. So glad we did. Bilitis help us along the way and her house book and other recommendations were spot on. This Villa was a great hub to go out and explore. The Villas is Perfect for a couple or small family with older kids. Can’t wait to go back already.

Our family of 4 (mom, dad and 2 college kids) had an amazing time! The property is even better than the pictures. The views…BREATHTAKING!!! The house itself is very well appointed and private. We had everything we needed. We felt at home and could have easily stayed in the entire trip. The staff were so kind, helpful and came daily. Bilitis and her property manager were easy to communicate with and got back to us quickly when a storm was headed to the area. Good restaurants, groceries and amenities are within a 5 minute drive. The beach is also a 5 minute drive and wasn’t crowded. I cannot say enough good things about this property. We did not want to leave. Thank you Bilitis for opening your home to visitors. We will definitely be back!

Spectacular
Third stay at this property! After many trips to Guanacaste, I have not found a property that compares to Villa Frugata. The views and sunsets are amazing. Very private and quiet while still conveniently located close to all amenities. The villa is meticulously maintained and even more beautiful than the photos. Secluded with Spectacular Views
We truly enjoyed our stay at Playa Flamingo. The property, which is tucked away on the hillside, provided complete privacy. The multi-story house itself was modern with some traditional flare. But what makes this property so amazing were the views from the infinity pool and the massive second story deck over-looking the ocean.
