Relaxing and Inviting

Casa los Amigos was the perfect home base for our group in the Brasilito area. After beach days, we loved unwinding in the pool and jacuzzi while the kids played. There are a wide variety of restaurants nearby, but we really enjoyed grilling fresh fish at home from the nearby market. The indoor-outdoor kitchen make cooking together a joy, and the lush backyard full of birds and wildlife felt like a private oasis. The house was beautiful, spacious, and made us feel completely at home. We’ll definitely be back.

Nice House For Groups, But Needs Improvement

First off the house itself is a modern, beautiful home. However, we encountered a few issues: 1) directions to the house are not adequate. We got coordinates that you can put into a nav app, but the apps believe there are ways to get to the property which are not accessible. They did not explain the house is in a gated community, there is a specific route you have to take to access it, and that you are required to stop at a guard shack and get a pass. 2) the house was insanely hot when we checked in, probably in the 90s inside, the house has multiple mini-split AC units but it still took over 2 days to get it to a decent temperature. 3) the pool and hot tub filtration were not working properly. They did get the pool in decent shape during our stay, but it was absolutely filthy at check in and the hot tub never really cleaned up. There are some strange insanely bright lights than come on randomly in the neighborhood throughout the night - not sure if it’s security, neighbors, or what, but it’s a little unnerving. Also, read the description closely as there are cameras watching all over the house, including one that points right into the kitchen (where we spent a lot of our time when we were inside). The accommodations are really nice inside though. Four rooms with four king beds and private bathrooms for each make it really nice for couples/groups
